Looks like a defective NAND. What about flashing update.img with RKBatchTool after shorting pins?

- Oma -

Can't understant what u mean by update.bin, u mean the image downloaded from chinese?

No, sorry. When flash fails in mask-rom mode the NAND is defective.

But I have a issue which is pretty relevant to me: the sleep battery drain is way too high. Even directly after flashing the rom (no config and no apps so far), the battery drains like 2-3% per hour sleep.

I also thank you for the rom, and also have the same problem. I have the paid version of Greenify, and I have Greenified everything, including system apps, and the battery drain is still the same; I don´t make it pass three days with very light use (a few hours a day if even), and in flight mode with WiFi off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I´m happy to provide BBS logs or any other additional information.
Cheers!

Hi Oma,

I don't know if this will be of any use, but here are the dmegs, logcat and last_kmsg for my tablet.

Do you think downgrading to the JB ROM may fix the issue?

Thank you very much in advance.

Then you may have the AZ model. You will find a link to the AZ firmware somewhere in this thread.

Hm, same wifi chip.

You can try this build: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1966

Just change the kernel in folder rockdev/Images: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1926

Hi Oma,

I have flashed this Rom and changed the AZ Kernel. But now the Wifi doesn't start.

Hi,

I flashed this Rom on a Vido M10 that was delivered on ordering a U30GT2 from efox. While it works, the X and Y axes from the touchpad are reversed. Is there any way to fix this ?

Edit: Ok, reading helps - looks like I too have an AZ model, so I'll look into how to change the kernel over to the AZ kernel mentioned earlier...

Here is an Android 4.4.2 KitKat rooted custom firmware for the Yuandao M10 / Vido M10 (ZZ model) This firmware is based on an latest M10 firmware dated 2014/01/17.

  • temporary fix for multi-user support, please check here

Download: kasty-yuandao_vido-m10_zz-442-20140117-rooted4.zip

Use Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7 to flash the firmware, use Restore button.

Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Yuandao M10 / Vido M10 to test it. There has been one flashing issue reported by a user on previous custom firmware release.

Admin can Twrp be used instead of cwm as recovery with this rom? I just bought the tablet on ebay. The buyer stated she flashed the Kasty rom with cwm. I wanted to use twrp instead do to lack of cwm updatings.

Seems to be the perfect way for a step-by-step upgrade to Android Kitkat for my Vido M10!

But reading and trying for hours without success I gave up. Here are my specs:

1 x Vido M10

- USB debugging on and off
- Did not activate storrage use...

Laptop Toshiba Satelite from 2014 with Win 8.1, i7 Intel, 3 x USB 3.0

- Vido M10 is being recognized as an storrage device
- Rockchip Batch Tool 1.6 or 1.7 never turnes from gray to pink or green

I also tryed my older Acer Laptop with Win 7, i7 Intel and USB 2.0 - no success.

What else can I do? :/

Hello maikal,

If I am not mistaking the TWRP builds from Crew RKTablets are for RK3288 devices. I am not sure if it will work on your tablet but you may select the right TWRP version (proper resolution) and give it a try. If it doesn't work you should have no problem flashing back CWM or stock recovery.

Cheers.
