Use Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7 to flash the firmware, use Restore button.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Yuandao M10 / Vido M10 to test it. There has been one flashing issue reported by a user on previous custom firmware release.

Thanks. But check the link in the description, I think it links wrong?
Download: kasty-yuandao_vido-m10_zz-442-20140117-rooted4.zip
which is the 4.2.2 firmware and not the 4.4.2?
Thanks for catching it, sorry about that, link is fixed now !
Cheers.

Okay now I have just tried this firmware.
When I first flashed it, it run all through but then stopped with an red error at the firmwarecheck, and I got a blue square in Rockchip Batch Tool 1.7
Disaster - I almost paniced!
I tried to start the tablet, but nothing - just a black screen, like dead!
I then again tried to flash it, and suddenly it went okay and ended succesfully. And the tablet auto rebooted.
When it came to the desktop, I there found out that it was a wrong firmware. (it was back to the old 4.2.2)
I figured the link to the correct before I wrote my first reply, and downloaded the correct one, flashed it again, and this time everything went fine.
I now have the 4.4.2 Kitkat firmware on my Vido M10, and everything seems to be good.
I wanted this because of root and the 4GB internal storage.
Question: I see two Launchers? "Launcher" and "Launcher3". Is the Launcher3 the stock launcher and Launcher the GEL one? Because when I had the official Kitkat from Vidos homepage, it only had Launcher3. And what is the difference? I only see that the google toolbar is longer in "Launcher"?
If I want CWM recovery, do I then have to install that myself? That was not flashed with the firmware?
And btw. is the Pipo M8 and the Vido M10 the same tablet? they almost have same specs, so are the firmwares also the same??? or are there still differences.
"Launcher" should be GEL one, I haven't used both enough to tell the difference, I just added the GEL launcher because many users in the forum asked it.
As for CWM Recovery, it's not fully tested yet on KitKat firmwares so I wouldn't recommend it for the moment.
Regarding the Pipo M8 and Vido M10, they may have similar specs but that doesn't mean they have similar components, so there is always a risk trying one firmware on the other if you are not 100% sure they have identical hardware.
Cheers.

Okay thanks for your reply and the ROM. The only thing is that the GEL launcher is not using the full space of the tablet, so the desk is smaller. The stock launcher have more space (more rows it seems and uses the whole screen of my tablet). But I found out that in GEL the Google Now page is to the left when I swipe all left on the home desktop, and "Okay Google" voice activation works with that one, that is nice.
I tried to install the generic CWM Recovery with Arctools 0.80 anyway and it worked fine. No problems, and I also can reboot to the recovery from Arctools. But haven't had time to test CWM in details yet. But so far so good.
"I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Yuandao M10 / Vido M10 to test it"
It's a mystery to me, how you manage to make a custom ROM, to a tablet that you don't even have in your hands to test with. But luckily it seemed to work this time 🙂 so far, my tablet is running just fine with the ROM.

Hey, I tried to flash the ROM with the latest Batch Tool on my VIDO M10, but it didn't connect my device (the "1"-Button don't change in green).
I used the "Switch"-Button and tried to update the driver (I searched the driver folder manualy in device manager.it told me that "the latest driver is installed") to fix the problem, but nothing changed.
My steps:
1. open the Batch Tool
2. load the new img-file
3. connect the device
4. activate the USB-storage on the device
maybe these steps are wrong? Do you have an idear, how I could make it run? (PC-System: Windows Vista 32x)

Don't activate the USB-storage on the device.
Did you try with USB Debugging turned off or on?
Try these drivers here:
RK3066 / RK3188 / 32BIT (X86) / 64BIT - Autoinstaller Windows 7 / 8 – download NEW

HEllo There
Im having a big issue i want to install the firmware on my vido m10 but something is not right batch tools wont detect my tablet in recovery mode. When its on to the PC batchtool detects it but in PINK. I've installed the drivers correctly i think but something is missing or is my recovery mode is not ok. i Just want to ask if theres any step by step Tutorial that we can Follow or a video Tutorial that would be even better starting from the beggining drivers instalation batchtool put tablet in recovery mode etc. theres only videos of the tablet running 4.4.2 not how to install it.
Thank you!!!

Switch is often not a safe way to start the flash-modus. Plug in all cable (usb and charger) and use key combination (most likely Vol up and Reset).
@s7yler: can you do me a favour and upload a dmesg log?
Boot tab fresh, open a terminal emulator and type:
su
dmesg >/mnt/sdcard/dmesg.txt
Thank you in advance!

Sorry I don't have the tablet anymore. Why you need the dmesg log?
