Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !

After Updating to this October firmware (Kasty), the tablet functions are almost well but when trying to update to a newer ROM (no matter which), and being recognized by windows driver, when I push "Switch", it turns from pink to grey, not green!! So now my tablet is running with this firmware "forever" and I cannot update it anymore!
I´ve tried resetting it to factory defaults, full battery before trying this...
Please help me!
Thank you!

I did not use the 'Switch-method' since many months.
All I do is:
1) switch off the device
2) start RKBatch Tool or Rk Android Tool
3) connect to USB
4) switch on with Vol+ and Pwr button pressed and hold for a few seconds until device is recognized and icon turns 'green'
Maybe this helps ...

Hello!
Thank you for your answer!
I´ve tried to make it exactly as you do, but when I try to switch it on with both power and vol+ presed, the tablet doesn´t turns on! This method is the same for entering to the recovery of my HTC Desire phone, so I know how to make it, but it doesn´t runs with my tablet...
When I try "switch", pink turns into grey and the PC tries to recognize the device, but it doesn´t find no Driver ("unknown device in the device´s list")
My OS is windows 7. Is there any driver suited for it?
I have updatd this tablet threee times before and never had no problem before this!
Is it possible to fix it via ADB or similar?
Thank You!

As far I know these kind of problems are typically caused by bad USB-cables or wrong drivers.
An other idea: you have ArcTools installed, so you can also install ClockWorkModRecovery (CWM), which alows you to flash some FW without a PC - see here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/visture-tablets/rom-visture-v97-hd-and-compatible-n90fhdrk-u9gt5-x900-pad-9719-qr-rooted-android-4-2-2-firmware-release-20131120/page-2/#p36550

Hello Tiemichael!
Finally I was able to fix it, but not the way that I thought!
The problems were this:
- PC was able to detect the device, but when it was switched, the device dissappeared from the devices list and appeared as a new unknown device.
- Another problem was that the super user app installed with arctools made an error: didn't found any binaries, and updating it via Google Play told that it was correctly installed but then caused the same error...
I tried updating the official firmware via the stock recovery, but it wasn't able, so I tried one of the last possibilities I thought:
Solution:
I managed to find and download a Win7 64bits driver for RK3188 ADB Drivers. I switched the device and waited for it to get "unknown device" and then updated the drivers...
Then rebooted the PC and tried to change the firmware to the last 20-11-2013 Kasty like I did in the past with older versions... when I switched it, everything went OK!
So now my tablet is running well again!
Thank you for your support!

P.D.:
After managing to make my Visture v87HD tablet working correctly again, I Installed the CWM recovery via the ARC Tools included in Kasty (quite quick and clean install...) and tried to make a backup and it made it perfectly, I tested it making a restore from backup and everything went well.
The thing is that once that I was sure to recover any possible faillure via CWM backup --> restore option, I inmediatelly tried to install the XORO Firmware through the "install ZIP" option at CWM recovery, but when I tried, right when It started, it had an error... so I din't want to reboot the tablet in order to not render it unusable, and inmediatelly made a restore from backup (with no problem at all) and everything went well...
Was it the correct option in order to try to install the XORO firmware present in this Forum?
This leads me to make another question:
Does a firmware update modify or update also the bootloader...? I mean, does it mean that everytime I am updating the firmware I am also risking the update of the bootloader?
I ask this because I am aware of trying to install the firmware via the RKBatch tool as I have always done, and if something goes wrong it would render my tablet unusable (specially now that it is a little bit faster...).
Is there any bootloader update for these series of RK3188 tablets?
I have not seen another forum's user experience trying to install XORO firmware; I think I am one of the few owners of a v97HD Tablet present in this Forum and that it would be a good idea to try it with XORO's and another brands' Firmwares ...
It would be a good idea to make a thread apart in this forum in orden to pin an entry with the test of the functioning compatible firmwares between compatible tablet brands, and their experiences.
I think it also would be a good idea to make a Thread of troubleshootings and solved problems like this, in order to save people's time and reduce errors...
Thank you for your time!
