I have updated my Visture tablet several times without issues. Recently I tried to update to FW 4.2.2. I have tried all the suggestions seen in this forum, but when using the latest Rockchip 1.7 or earlier batch installer, it shuts down my tablet when I select switch from the batch tool. My tablet is recognized by Windows and I can move files from the notebook to the tablet. But any attempt to update drivers to the RK3188 device won't work. I do disable driver signing when trying to install drivers. I also have tried to boot into recovery and select update image or CWM recovery or many other update files, but I receive a message that the update file is not a valid update package. I have re-downloaded all of these files multiple times and verified integrity with MD5 but nothing works. When I boot into recovery -/+ with power switch I get the Android robot with a red exclamation mark, but then if I select + switch it boots into stock recovery. Does anyone have any other suggestions getting my tablet back on track. Is the red ! an indicator of something missing or not functioning?
I am having the same problem. I have a windows 8.1 laptop and am using the Rockchip 1.7 to flash. I follow the steps exactly but when I get to the "push switch" portion, it gives me a "switched failed" warning and my V97 completely turn off. Is there a way to manual flash it on the tablet itself while having the FW stored on the SD card? Any help and suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Rockchip Batch Tool is known not to work well with Windows 8.1 and later. I'd recommend that you try using another computer running an older Windows version (NT, XP, or Win7) or Linux (recent version of Debian / Ubuntu preferred)
