Here you can find ways to get the device in flashing mode.

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/archos-arnova-general/possible-fixes-and-repair-methods-for-your-rockchip-tablet/

Flashing methods would be using rockchip tools in windows, and lin linux, rkflashtool.

On your Windows computer, does Rockchip Batch tool show a Purple color square when the Measy U4B is connected thru USB ?

No it does not. Actually it does not even detect the tablet .

  1. Have going into measy settings and there is an option in measy under USB to enable it to connect to computer. Have even done this.
  2. The measy is connected from its micro usb slot into the usb slot of the computer . hope I am doing it the right way.
  3. have tried using Rockchip batch tool 6 as well as 7 .- but no luck .

only if the device is detected can one install the drivers as drivers are in .sys format file. so windows needs to detect the device which it is currently not doing.

any thoughts ?

Well, first you need to get the device in flashing mode, install the drivers and then you should get a reaction.

You can download and install our app
http://www.arctablet.com/assets/tools/arctools/com.arctablet.arctools.apk
Which has an option to reboot in bootlader (flashing mode)
After which you are supposed to connect it to the pc, install usb drivers and check in rockchip batch tool if the device is connected.

On top of my head, to put your MiniPC in flash mode required for Rockchip Batch Tool:

- if your miniPC has 2 microUSB connectors, plug your computer to the microUSB connector that the MiniPC uses to mount data on the computer

- on the MiniPC, go Settings / Storage then the menu icon in the top right corner, change the choice to Mass Storage

- then go to Setttings / USB and check the box "Connect to PC"

- on your Windows computer, Rockchip square should turn Purple, press Switch button, the square should turn Green, you are ready to flash.

Our custom firmware is rooted, it should support Skype and has rk remote support. There is no special support for Gameloft games, I can't confirm they'll install/run.

Cheers.

Hi there.

Update as follows on measy u4b

Installed arc tools 0.80 version.

Also have downloaded custom ROM and kept ready.

While running arc tool app  on measy u4b and selecting reboot bootloader... Application just hangs.

After a while it gives the message of app not responding. Basically it does not reboot with any option.

Did this test on my Samsung galaxy s3.. And opened arc tools app and tried the reboot boot loader and it very neatly rebooted in download mode.

What cud be the possible reason for measy .

Kindly help.

It might be disabled from the firmware that function.
Try what admin suggested.

As globula mentioned, the method from post #8 is preferred.

ArcTools reboot functions won't work on non rooted firmware, which is probably the case if you still run the default firmware.

Cheers.
