Here is an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean rooted firmware for the CX919 quad-core RK3188 MiniPC based on latest official release from 2013/06/07. Kernel display at 720p.

Custom firmware features:
- root with latest SuperSU version 1.32 (free version)
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- Google Play Store fixes so more applications are visible/compatible
- updated busybox v1.21.0.git (2012-11-29)
- Unix like init.d boot scripts support, more details on init.d scripts here
- changed permissions on external sdcard to allow write access
- increased storage space for applications (/data partition) to 3 GB

Please flash with Rockchip Batch Tool 1.7, use Restore button.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I verified this firmware boots on the Tronsmart T428, but I don't have a CX919 to fully test the custom firmware.

Looking for a method of running 1080p. Have you looked in to that at all?

This firmware is based on the manufacturer's firmware which is using a 720p kernel. It can output to 1080p but it's just up-scaling. I'll build a 1080p version as soon as I get a 1080p firmware from the manufacturer.

just installed this firmware on my cx919 ,and booted up ok,but when i go to storage section in the settings ,it doesnt recognize the internal nand memory and show it as blank ,instead i have 3GB space for data partition so my other 4GB missing ,as before i had 1024MB for data ,and ~6 GB for internal sdcard memory?please fix ,will test this firmware today later on,will report any bugs -if found....
just restarted ,and powered back on,and by miracle the nand flash is there,and showing some 3 + GB as well ,so its fine than,if someone has the same issue ,just restart and power on

few issues found, after using this rom for like three days ,the rom each time started to boot up very slow-takes more than 45 sec to boot up ,other issue,is it sometimes cant recognize the nand partition after the boot up,so u need to restart your android stick,and hope that its gonna find the partition succesfully this time-but thats not a very big issue,all other functions so far work fine,wifi ,bt-works fine on my cx919 ,got the logitech c525 hd camera -and doesnt work 
with this rom-so small fix might do a magic-please,third-i have a external sd card 16GB,and moust of my data files from games are stored on it,so i whould love to use it as default storage though,but this rom doesnt allow me to to do a change in storage setting to make it default-so far no other issues i could think of....
