Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Minix Neo X5 device to test the custom firmware.

A version with 1080p  was released at the same time in the minixforum
Forum bonus, as promised, 1080fb image @ 240DPI (large icons):

Would be great if this could be repackaged too.
Custom firmware with 1080p kernel added, see post #1.
Cheers.

First, thanks for this much needed upgrade to our little machines. There is nothing about whether the ROM is flashable in CWM in the release notes. The only reason that I ask is because there is a mention of a CWM install package.
I guess that your answer is no, and I will do it with your batch tool kit....
thanks again

Actually read last line. Â New! Cwm install package! Â LoLÂ
If you check out CWM ArcTools package link you'll see it's actually a way to install a CWM Recovery as an option (our custom firmware comes with a stock recovery as default).
At a a later point, we'll eventually repackage our custom firmware in a CWM type update package for those who have a CWM-R installed and prefer to flash the firmware this way, so Rockchip Batch Tool wouldn't be required.
Cheers.
