Still no luck getting a stable system. System will not reboot after screen goes blank (due to some error - it just happens sometimes with no apparent reason).Tried to revert to stock (1.24 from teclast) and then modify (remove apps, install others, nova from play store) and also root (root genius) and it works fine for some time (hours) and then black screen again (with backlight still on) and no way to get it to respond. Strangely enough, it is possible to flash in that state (loader device pops up etc), but still no boot at the end of the process (flash seems ok according to the androidtool/rockchip batch tool).  The only way - I think - is waiting for the battery to die, recharge and then the boot does start (at least that is the logic I seem to see).  Maybe it is this Ricoh chip related, and that a forced hw reset by button press is not possible? Anyway, I think I will return it and hope that this will not cause problems (other than waiting a loong time probably to get it settled).
yep i been having the same problem as you with all the roms even with the stock rom too its also happens when you put the tab to charge much quicker.

It's limited by the kernel. Above that the hardware could become instable.

Hi Oma,
So I've used your rom for a couple of months now and it is very fast and stable (occasional lag is experienced but nothing major).
I have noticed one thing which is usually not a big deal at all, but it is to me due to my specific use case scenario for this tablet: I have a case for the tablet which has an integrated keyboard plugged in via USB OTG. Now, this works fine for the most part apart from one scathing problem: whenever the keyboard is plugged in and the device is locked and goes into sleep mode, the keyboard is not recognised as being plugged in after the device is awakened which means I have to plug out the USB cable and plug it back in to get it to work again.
Before anyone asks, I have tried different keyboards with the tablet which always yield the same result, and I have also tried these keyboards with different Android devices which do not have these problems. This indicates that it is a problem with the rom but I have no idea whether this is specific to your rom, Oma, or whether this is specific to the stock rom as well.
Let me know if you have any ideas as to what may be causing this problem, I'd love to be able to help you out as much as I can since I really like this tablet a lot and would love for this problem to be solved (this tablet serves as my laptop at work, see the attached picture).
Kind Regards
Â
PS: Regarding the image, I know I am using a massive OTG adapter in the picture attached but this is not the source of the problem. Just thought I'd clarify in case anyone is wondering.

Most likely kernel related. Can I have a dmesg log from the whole sequence?

Works fine with my 55" machine. What is the problem exactly?- Oma -

Hello Oma,
I have 3 issues with this tablet. I hope you can help me.
1. I also can not have signal on my Samsung tv (also tried with a Sony tv, still not working). I use an hdmi normal to micro adapter same as on your photo. Can you please send me the link where you have bought your adapter ( i hope it is possible to find on ebay). With the hdmi cable and adapter i can connect my photo camera to tv without problems.
I can not have hdmi connection with the stock 1.18 or 1.26 or your 1.5 firmware , same as an other forum user has written his problem on page 5.
2. Secondly, when i open the tablet , i see half of the screen is black (blank) until it is opened. When i press power button and make the table go in sleep mode and press again , i can get the whole screen working as it should be. This happens almost at 6-7 of 10 opening precess other times it openes as full screen on.
I think that when the tablet tries to open it gets confused as to open as 2560x1600 or 1600x2560 and such a resolution is not supported. (Orientation sensor problem??)
3. I have changed the firmware to 1.26 stock firmware and the tablet stops after the red logo. I press 10 sec. on the power button and again open the tablet. 3-4 of my 10 opening my tablet attemp is succesfull. Did i forget something when i flash the firmware ? (I used default tool and tried to understand the chineese pdf help file inside the firmare rar file. Maybe i should make complete format or reset before or during firmare flash?? By the way i have rooted the tablet with Kingo Root software from pc and updated SU program and it's binaries.Â
I am sorry if i bother you with my questions. I hope yo ucan help me.
Best Regards

Hi again,
Attached is a dmesg log of the sequence as described. Seems like my machine wakes up a few times when it is put to sleep..? Anyway, I don't have a huge amount of experience with Android, especially kernel related stuff, so hopefully you can find something useful in there. I will try different scenarios, such as different keyboards and such to see if there are any major differences in he dmesg outputs.
Again, let me know if there is anything specifically I can do.
Kind Regards & Many Thanks for your hard work.
René

This are only 3 minutes. Anyway, can you pls check this app with settings "partial wakelock"?

I guess this is more an issue of your TV or HDMI cable.

Yes it is only 3 minutes but it has this entire sequence: the keyboard plugged into the USB hub plugged into the tablet. Then, I lock the device, wait a minute, and when I wake the device, the keyboard is usually disconnected.
That is the sequence the dmesg output contains.
Also, I tried the app that you linked and, as I'm sure you suspected, the keyboard stays connected
I will continue to investigate. I have a different keyboard that is similar to the one I am using at the moment but it has a native micro USB connector and this keyboard doesn't actually disconnect! I have attached the dmesg output for the same sequence but different keyboards (with timestamps removed in order to make comparison easier) which can be compared using a tool like Beyond Compare. Again, it doesn't tell me all that much unfortunately but you may be able to see something.

Thanks for your ROM Oma.
I have just received  a Teclast P90HD from Banggood.

This indicates that the tab is on but you do not see anything. Most likely a loose LCD connector.

Oma thanks for your quick answer, indicating one possible cause of the failure.
One year ago I had a similar problem with an Ainol Novo tablet and I was able to unbrick it loading a new rom
Prior to send the tablet back to China, I was thinking trying to load your ROM.
Do you think I should give a try?. What's your recommendation?
Â
Once again thanks for your advice

Send back to china is not an option. You will never see your money back.
Flash a rom, but I would be surprised if this changes anything. The kernel boots the tab otherwise you wont have connection.
At the end of the day you have to open it and check connectors.
