Finally today I receive my tablet and just by playing with it in first half hour I was going crazy with the wifi wakup issue.
Everythime the screen turned off the wifi never connects back until reboot. Something not even rebooting solved the issue. Had to also reboot the Hub.
I the flashed the firmware P9 wifi by Oma build v1.2 and all seems to be fine.
Didn't had time to proper test it though as I had to come to work, but in the time I played with it, I found the system to be a tad slower than with official firmware and the 2 Antutu tests I did never reached the 35000 mark. I thought it should score more than 39000.....
Is this normal?
Yes, the Pipo firmware has still wakelock and battery drain issues. See also post #14.
I have corrected that in build v1.2
Advertised scores around 40k are done with Antutu 4.5. Since then Antutu serveral changes the scoring. Scores with latest Antutu 5.6 of around 35k is ok.
However, performance of the UI (look and feel) should be more in focus.

The tablet is going quite nice with this rom and everything seems to be ok, but I have a few questions:
- In the Settings > Location
When active if we click with will show a screen with 3 location options, location by gps only, by data and wi-fi, etc etc.I couldn't change the options here. Is set for GPS only and even if I choose another option it comes back to this one automatically.
I'm not in front of the tablet right now so I don't know if these are thje excat terms, but I'm sure you know what I mean.
- When I openm the web browser and go to google web page, it should be showing my location right below the search box, but its saying Location Unknown. Perhaps because of what I reported above....
- The wi-fi is a bit buggy. The wi-fi always turns on but not always connects to the network.
Often I have to connect and disconnect a few time to get it connected to my network.
- Yesterday, suddenly several apps got uninstalled somehow, but the icons remain in place, but when I clicked on them just say app not installed. I had to go to Google Play and install again.
One of them was the system email app. I confirmed that the file email.apk was inside /system/app then I reboot the tablet but the app was not restored/installed. I went back into that folder and install it manually.
Nothing to serious and all is working nice.
Thanks for your work
I didn't touch the build.prop at all.
I managed to find the geolocation situation. Its not an issue its an option. I noticed the icon can be connected, half conneceted and disconneted. When is showing half connecetd we are unable to choose the options.
The wi-fi is what its killing me at the point of making the tablet useless, specially this morning.
I just can't get a stable connection. When it connects to my network minutes after just dies I need to disconnect and connect several times all over again until get it connected, again for a few minutes
Works fine here. One of the best wifi implementation of all tabs I have. Maybe a quality issue.

Hye guyz i just got my Pipo P9 3G edition and i am so unpleased. The wifi connects to the modem and ive tried different modems , but it doesnt use the internet it stucks the whole network no other device can log on to the internet. I used your custom rom it does exactly the same thing , Connects to the network then the whole network becomes like dead and no device can connect to the net, once i disconnect the wifi from pipo all devices can work again.
Sounds like the same issue then Djuganight. Make use of your warranty.

Same issue as me.
I was preparing the tablet to send it back, by backing up all my info and restoring to stock parameters. When I was flashing the official firmware suddenly the tablet died in the end of the process (IDB Failed). Only had the tablet for 3 days....
The shop is now saying that is its bricked then I lost the guarantee.
Anna from Pipo said:
You can send tht tablet back and ask a replacement.
It maybe problem with the flash on the motherboard.
Even then the shop is saying that if I decide to send to China they can do but at my responsability.
Resuming, you noticed the issue of the wi-fi, stop right there and don't go any further. Just return the tablet and ask a replacement. Better yet, ask you money back and buy other brand (Cube or Teclast or other)
Hi Oma, I tried your version 1.2 on my new PIPO P9 3G. Thanks for your great work. Everything was running fine and very fast - except the backside camera. On stock rom both cams of the tablet are working. So I tested with the Riley rom and it's the same problem. No backside cam. Now I'm running your rom again. Do you have an idea for me? I know it is a poor cam, but I need it for barcode scanning.
My cam is fine. What was the firmware/kernel on the tab?
