Just as a side note - I returned to kernel# 170 as well due to higher amount of lags. Even tough, network performance with kernel# 203 was 15% higher.
Besides that your ROM works extremely well. I leave my old Samsung tablet more and more aside and prefer the P8
But still there are some open topics:
- sound is still not on a good level (needs heavy tweaking with viper4android)
- is there a chance to include v2.3.3.0 of v4a in your ROM? (produces better results for me)
- external sdcard is not presented as such, you have to go through /mnt in the file managers or dialogs and chose external sd
- wouldn't it be better to include System Tuner instead 3c CPU Manager from the same developer in your ROM as this gives more flexibility with tuning?
Just my 2 cents,
Jo

My intend is to have all basic functionallity in the Rom.
CPU Manager is just a simple tool to monitor and control the CPU. That's enough.
I still use the very old release v2.2.1.1 of Viper4AndroidFX due to its extrem stabilty. Higher releases may have additional features and/or better sound results, but hey a tab is no Ghettoblaster Anyway, to clean-up enable Root Explorer in FileManager HD and delete Viper4AndroidFX in /system/app.
What do you mean with external sdcard is not present?

Well as I listen to Spotify quite often for a longer period (no, not in public ), sound quality is important to me. The newer version is already quite stable (I did not experience any issues) and even better it is more bug free from what I see (launching v4a by tabbing on notification entry works here) so I still prefer the newer one.
Regarding storage please have a look at the screenshots attached. The external sdcard is presented as such in file managers on other devices. In the first screenshot you see my Samsung tablet with external sdcard and on the second screenshot the P8 with external sdcard. The external sdcard is accessible on the P8 and the problem occurs with any file manager.
Cheers

Hello OMA ,
first of all , thank you for the wonderful work you do .
Unfortunately , I believe that these PIPO tablets are born "somewhat unfortunate " given the number of problems they have.
In particular, even after I have installed your rom, my tablet still have two problems that I think are quite well known :1 ) the battery that die very fast
2 ) the touchscreen that sometimes becomes unresponsive .Unfortunately, the battery lasts about 30 minutes ( from a full charge cycle ) , and consumption is often indicated in different way by different battery monitor.
However , in the graphs the battery always collapses within 30 minutes (or less ) without any particular software in executionFor the touchscreen I read that maybe it's a problem of connectors ....
I wanted to ask if you are be able to help solve problems.
In particular : is there any log that I can send ?
BetterBatteryStats reliable as software for the battery ?for the touchscreen: you know ( you or anyone else
) a video or instructions to open the tablet without destroying it ?
Thanks again for your work and for your help!
Andrea
ps.
edited some typo

Sounds like a tab that should never been passed the final Q control. Make use of your warranty.

I have a ifive mini 4.
Even if it is a wifi model only, there is cellular software in firmware, so battery drains fast because it always serach for cellular data ( deep sleep is crap...)
So , after researching a lot i found the way to solve the issue:
1 ) in system-app delete phone.apk
2) in system-private app delete teleservice.apk
3 ) use amplify ( app+xposed) to block some wakelock
Now tablet sleeps great...

Hi Oma, thanks a lot for your time and effort. Excellent rom! I'm using kernel #170 and build 1.1. Is it possible to add an option to keep the usb always on? I mean no sleep or deep sleep on a particular usb device.
This device has the 3g UltraStick and on deep sleep the modem disconnects (as a result loosing the gsm signal). In order to to connect it again I have to un-plug and plug it again. If there was an option to keep it always "on" (like the wifi) that would be great! From what I understand, this is happening because on deep sleep lower voltage goes through this port in order to consume less power (so it basically suspends this usb device) however this has serious side effects.
Things I tried with no success:
/sys/bus/usb/devices/<device>/power/autosuspend_delay_ms to -1 with no sucess since it does not percist and returns 2000
/sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend to -1 but it does not percist and after reboot it returns 2
/sys/bus/usb/devices/<device>/power/level to "on" instead of "auto" but again this does not percist
