WOW - that was quick ! Thanks a lot, Oma - problem resolved
Have a great day,
Jo
EDIT: Just tested TWRP and it seems, that just landscape view on portrait orientation is displayed, so you just can see a part of the screen.
Secondly you've included kernel# 170, which is less performant and which leads in my case to sporadic reboots. Kernel# 194 is much better (at least for my P8)

Ok, is your kernel logo in portrait? Does the build (as is with kernel #170) solve the wifi wakelock issue?

Ok, so kernel is in Portrait.
Download this pack, run the Flashtool, tick TWRP_1200x1920_CrewRKTablets_v2.1 and click Run.

Confirm - the kernel logo is in portrait and the TWRP screen as well. All works now perfectly fine
As I have crashed my P8 installation (due to too heavy adjustments and configuration) shortly before Xmas last year I was not able to conduct any battery/wakelock tests w/o modem anymore. I was waiting on a new ROM to start all over again with the installation of a new ROM version which is available now w' your 1.1 release.
I'll verify wakelock issue with kernel#194 the next days, but generally it seems, that battery drain is currently much lower compared to previous versions of your ROM and I did not experience any deep sleep issues so far.
Two questions are left over:
is the sound of the boot screen configurable with a kernel parameter ? My girlfriend was a little upset when I turned tablet on during night ...
My personal impression is that the ART libraries work smoother with the P8 combined with your ROM - do you consider enabling ART by default ?
Thanks,
Jo

EDIT: I am still wondering, if 5GHz WLAN is implemented at all as announced. I don't see any 5GHz WLAN compared to my other 5GHz WLAN devices ...
I would say it depends on your wifi chip:
AP6181 — 2.4G WIFI
AP6210 — 2.4G WIFI + BT4.0
AP6251 — 2.4G WIFI + GPS
AP6330 — 2.4G/5G BT4.0 + WIFI + FM
AP6476 — 2.4G WIFI + BT4.0 + FM (rx) + GPS
AP6493 — 2.4G WIFI + BT4.0 + FM (rx) + NFC
AP6234 — 2.4G/5G WIFI + BT4.0
AP6441 — 2.4G/5G WIFI + BT4.0 + NFC
AP6335 — 802.11ac 2.4G/5G WIFI + BT4.0 + FM
Pls upload a dmesg log. Boot tab fresh before dmesg, I need a log from 0.000000 sec.
