Hi OMA

New firmware from China, of 9-9 and they told me the facebook issue is fixed, and also the (still) short standby time.

@ Oma7144

Thanks for this great rom :)

I'm running it on my PIPO P9.

I just noticed there's a new build out (15-09-2014) here:

PiPO P9_Software_Chinese version_NO 3G_20140915

Source:

http://www.pipo.cn/En/index.php?m=Product&a=show4&type=2&id=342

Do you happen to know if PIPO uses OTA?

Welcome Flow63!

First of all thank you for the feedback! There is unfortunately not much.

I've never seen OTA from Pipo.

Kernel #138 from that 20140911 update is in the archive: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2106
You can flash it separately, just tick parameter, kernel and resource.

Yes. Parameter and system. The difference between 4.4.4 and 4.4.2 should not generate problems.

Just tried to go back to stock, but it failed, it doesn't go past the boot screen and when i reset the device i get the dead android on my screen...

Tried 2 firmware images:

1. update_PiPO P9_NO 3G_20140826.img
2. update_PiPO_p9_no_3G_20140911_v1.1.img (i think this is a Chinese version).

I flashed your image back and it boots ok again.

Do you know howto access recovery on this device? (it has no hardware volume buttons).

Btw. it's lightning fast :)

Edit: seems that i don't have sound anymore, any ideas?

Edit2: with the official program i went back to stock and sound was working again.

To flash the update.img use the RKBatchtool. As this is the factory tool it will completly reset anything, incl. the loader.

Hi Oma,

how to Flash Pipo p9? There is no power-up. Do you have any instructions for it?

The instructions are on the official website here for the official rom and in the package if you want to install/flash the OMA rom.

In short: press power and escape until the device powers down, then quickly press power and escape again, the screen goes black and then you can see, in the official upgrade tool, a green square. In the oma flash tool "One Loader Device".

Hi, was anyone successful flashing one of Omas roms on pipo P9? I have tried it with RKBatchTool failing because of missing the update.img. I also tried it with AndroidTool getting the message that I have the wrong device. The Image files I have coped to the Image Folder. It would be nice to get a howto.
