Yes, one can do a backup of the build when using TWRP/CWM. Just reboot to recovery and choose Backup.

Due to difference of the partition layout between KK and LP it is necessary to re-flash the build first and then do the Restore of the backup.

If TWRP/CWM is not incoluded in the KK build, you will find it here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/rk3288-entwicklung-und-customroms-development-and-croms/rk3288-rom-twrpcwm-flash-tool-custom-root-firmware-20150117/?lang=fr

Hi Oma,

i've tried 3 roms now but they all stick on boot screen, been at it now for 6 hours and even the pipo P9 3G stock rom (20141218_PIPO_P9_update_OTA_3G_#214) from the original site keeps on the boot screen.

With the this rom i can atleast enter TWRP but i can't mount my ext_sd or usb_otg so i cannot install the camera fix below.

Can you include the fix in the rom so i don't have to add it in twrp?

if your P9 doesn't boot up you most likely have a hardware revision
with another camera lens - pls install model fix via TWRP

btw, the ext sd and usb_tgo work on my gf's samsung without any problems.

thanks in advance.

BR,

Bjorg

That worked, now it starts into android but it asks for a pw.

when i enter something then it wants to factory reset and reboot, but after the reboot it keeps displaying the teamwin logo without entering it.

any suggestions?

New Pipo P9 kernel #69 preempt 30 Dec 2015: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2778

Battery stats looks a bit better now, however still not perfect.

I've two little "problems" both on p7 and p9:

- Bluetooth activates itself. I don't know the pattern yet, but it exists and is reproducable.

- Connecting the charger boots the device up

Btw: I "fixed" the volume button issue for the p7. Just download ButtonRemapper (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464) and set button no 115 and 158 to Volume Up. Thats it.

Nice found! Seems we have luck and the Pipo P7 kernel recognizes the code also.

Can you pls upload your qwerty.kl (system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl). I shall do a fix for Pipo P7.

For Pipo P9: BT active by default is here only noticed when first boot up. Reboot when charger gets connected is here not reproducable. Pls upload kmsg and last_kmsg logs.

Pipo P4 has the same PMU. Issue is descriped in post #28.

Other manufaturers are able to use the right driver/table in their kernel. Attached an example of IFive Air (same PMU).

I will send you the qwerty-file asap, kind of busy preparing for new years eve.

The "issue" isn't acutally related to the device rebooting:

When powered off an android device connected to a power device usually gets into some charger-screen or black screen. Until you power it in. In my case the device just starts up - making it impossible to charge an unpowered device.

Ah, that is what you mean. "Normally" the kernel reboots in charger mode. This is not longer enabled. They call this "always on strategy", which means you can only power off the tab when no cable is plugged.
