The battery percentage is showing thje percentage in the battery icon (Top right corner)
I found a solution with Xposed Framework

Regardinmg the battery, I think if you compile a rom specifically for wi-fi tablets, without any telephone nor 3g stuff, that would improve the battery greatly.
At this stage I have deleted the telephone related apk's and I'm also using the tablet in airplane mode. This seems to help a biit.

I do noticed that on Top Right Corner, next to the clock, battery icons, there is an icon of missing SIM card.
Since mine is a wi-fi tablet I shouldn't be seeing such icons.

By the end of yesterday, the tablet was starting to getting extremely laggy.
For example, if I open the Facebook app it even freezes for long periods and then starts working extremely buggy. This also happen on one of the LP versions I tested.

What you recommend, this AOSP build or CM13?

The CM13 build is more mature for 3G tabs.

Forget about 3G stuff, a hardware which isn't there cannot consume anything.

Please do not touch the system as you will produce things like you describe.

Also excessive usage of Xposed modules could have an effect on build stability.

Sorry Oma but I have to disagree with you.

I note major improvements after deleting the system apk's related to telephone etc.
The difference its quite evident not to be noticed.

I have deleted modules of Xposed framework. Now I just have 1.

This rom has exactly the same issue I have with the first 5.1 I tried, from from PIPO's forum.
If I login into facebook apps, the tablet is no longer the same until I logoff and reboot. It starts freezing for every reason and starts to be extremely slow and laggy.
If I have to point out some negative point in this rom, this is the only situation 😉

It’s very annoying indeed as the tablet gets so laggy and freezing that gets impossible to use.

You feedback is highly welcome!

For battery stats see your other post on the CM13 thread.

As I am old I do not have much interest on things like facebook. However, it works fine here on my hardware.

Update post #1 with kernel #16, which might give a better feeling on battery stats 😉

Its the same you have in CM13?

I'm using CM13 since yesterday with the new kernel and its working very nice.

Battery is holding a lot.

Hello all. Got myself into problems trying to install ROM CM13 v1.3. It went into starting apps/bootloop but I hadn't seen this thread so didn't try to get back into flash mode manually.  I reset but it did nothing; had to open it up and disconnect battery ribbon. Trying again now and I cannot get into flash mode manually.  Tab not seen by computer at all.  I got into recovery mode but then didn't know how to navigate without external volume buttons. Can anyone help out this android novice?  I just want to get into flash mode so I can flash TWRP Recovery and the P9 lens fix.

Thanks for any assistance.

Ian

... half hour later ...

Is there anybody out there? Can anyone help?  Getting so frustrated.  Just cannot get into flash mode and certainly not recognised by computer.  Sometimes, if I leave the boot loop longer, it goes into the starting apps loop, but from there, with usb plugged in, I hold esc and power and it sometimes turns off (or appears to - but not recognised by pc) or else recommences with its boot loop, or else goes into recovery mode.  How long should I hold esc and power? I've tried all sorts but to no avail. Gonna give up for today and try again later.

1st you do not navigate in recovery with external key, you navigate by touch.......assuming your tablet is the P9

2nd to enter in loader mode, click power until the tablet completly shuts off. When is off, connected the USB cable from the PC to the tablet and then click ESC and then POWER, by this order and maintain clicked until you hear the connecting sound in windows.

3rd flash the rom again and this time flash it choosing to install the TWRP instead of normal recovery
