the first one (6m): boot loop

the other two (7l & 8l): went straight to recovery but no touch screen

When I say I have an early hardware version, it's because I bought the tablet (came direct from China) around Dec/Jan 2014/15. I didn't think the P9 had been out long before then, but I've never actually checked.

No, just Run. Lower Format will wipe the partition layout.

Yes, there is no touch driver in that kernel 🙂

So the bad guy is the goodix touch driver itself. Strange.

is there an alternative download place for the log tool? get 404 error with that one. If it fails, I can always use Linux - normally run ubuntu 16.04; would just need the linux driver for pipo p9 and a few helpful how-to's
