Hello,
I am new to this forum, if I need to post this elsewhere please let me know...
I am trying to flash my device ( Haier Pad971 originally on Kitkat but I upgraded to Lollipop 5.1.1) to Marshmallow. I downloaded the pack and I followed the instructions as written but when I tried to flash the firmware with Androidtool (instructions n4), I have an error message " Match device type failed, stop running" though Android tool do show status "Found one ADB device".
Where I did wrong?? Do I need to root the device before flashing??
Thanks for your help..

Doesn't work this way. Any tab has it's specific kernel (hardware abstraction layer). Where can I find the Haier LP firmware?

A build is possible. However, there is no IFive Mini4 selinux kernel nor did FNF publish any kernel sources. So, we are trapped here. Sorry.

I'm sorry I have no idea where we can find those informations..newbie here but I can provide you some informations about my device which might help you.
Apparantly this device (Haier Pad971) has a same hardware specs as iFive Air tablet ...
And I got the custom lollipop rom from your forum discussion here..and it works flawlessly..thankyou..

Interesting. So, you can confirm IFive Air kernel working on Haier Pad 971.
The RKAndroidTool must show "Found One Loader Device". Tick also the Loader and try again incl. LowerFormat.

Well I successfully installed marshmallow rom but without checking "Loader", this time I choosed alternate way "alternatively: Power-Off, hold Power and Vol+ until "Found One LOADER Device" is shown", It did show me the same error message but somehow it did the job.
Now I'm getting the same error message when I try to flash TWRP, btw the tablet booted on its own once the lowerformat was over...

Sounds like a connection issue. Maybe use an other USB cable. On which windows do you are?

Well, Haier Pad 971 is the clone. The hardware of the Mini4 is different. We spent a lot of time in doing a kernel for Mini4 from scratch. Unfortunately without vaild sources and having the tab at hand no real chance.
