Hi,

thanks again for creating a working release! The only problem I have now is that USB-Sticks are not recognized (even not in TWRP) - I tried sticks formatted with FAT32 and NTFS, nothing happens. Also attaching the tablet to a computer and switching to "MTP-Mode" doesn't work. The tablet is not recognized...

thanks,

Sören

Hi,

it's with your kernel #27 - HaierPad 971 with Goodix touch on CM14 - Android 7.1.2

Hello,

I have the same tablet. MTP is working fine with USB debugging enabled.
If USB debugging is disabled, the Haier971 (named as Ifive Air) is shown in Windows, but without any Folders/Drives.

USB host for USB Sticks/Drives is not working neither with USB debugging enabled or not (But I do not need this function).

Regards, Dirk

Hi,

thanks for confirming that USB Host isn't working on the Haier Pad 971 on CM14 - 7.1.2. It was actually working in CM13 6.0.1. I regularly use it also in TWRP for flashing or backups.

Is it just a missing kernel module?

ciao, Sören

@Oma7144

Really a pity, tried today to flash the ROM on a iFive Pro 2, but it´s the same Problem as described with the Haier Pad. Tablet reboots to TWRP, but touchscreen doesn´t respond anymore. Tried also the extra kernel #27, but didn´t work too. Would it be possible for you to make a working ROM just as the one with Phoenix OS for the iFive Pro 2 which I´m using now? That one is awesome. Thanks in advance.

Holiday break for now. Pls leave me a dmesg log from a working build. Reboot the tab before doing the log. I will catch this up in two weeks or so.

Thanks for your fast reply. Awesome. But take your time and enjoy your spare time. The enclosed dmesg log is from your perfectly working Phoenix OS ROM for the iFive Pro 2. Thanks for having a look on it.

@Oma7144

I have the same problem with the touchscreen and the Haier Pad 971 - with the first kernel as well as with the newer version. Also I did not just seem to be rotated as someone described in a previous post. I do see output on /dev/input/event1 though when I touch the screen. Is the source code you use uploaded somewhere? I checked the github repository linked on your site, but it seems to be all a few years old. And one more question: why do you do these customizations, is it a hobby or do you somehow get paid for it? Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the reply Oma. Dmesg log is attached. I did find a coarse mapping of positions with 1.2.5 version, after all. Don't know the exact positions and its different for the top half and the bottom half of the screen:
