No, I never used expose framework. I will give it a try later.
BTW, I still have a high battery drain problem, 22% drop in 1 day standby with ariplane mode on and WIFI off.
I renamed the telephony related apks, made some related tweaks in build.prop, but the network signal icon still there and the No SIM notification also shown on the login page.
Does anybody knows how can I make a proper WIFI only ROM from this image?
What exactly needs to remove/modify in the image?
Thanks 4thjak, I saw it too at yesterday.
Oma7144, is it based on the chinese rom I linked earlier?
Regarding the chinese roms:
a new updated rom appeared here for P4R: http://yun.baidu.com/share/home?uk=2500259834#category/type=0
I tried it, I do not know what has been changed, but I still have problem with the high battery drain in standby, it seems the calendar app cause the most wakeups.
One more thing: If I disable the volume +/- buttons from the bottom bar (build.prop), the left icons are not centered correctly.
Maybe you forgot the wifi option in its settings. It must be set from to "never" when screen is off.
For me, this is the best battery performance, that I'm quite having a hard time to drain in my normal use of net browsing. Maybe I'll try to drain today with asphalt 8.
Thanks for the hint, I didn't forget it. That is one of the first thing I set after a new ROM installation.
I disabled all the sync options in account settings (I never used them) and yesterday I installed the Deep Sleep battery saver app from the store and set it to "Slumberer" mode. Now it seems the high battery drain is gone in standby mode. Longer test needed, but the battery drain graph is much more flat since the app installation.
Pipo LP kernel have fundamental issues with the PMU. So, battery stats may suggest high battery drain. See here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/rk3288-entwicklung-und-customroms-development-and-croms/rk3288-rom-pipop9-p4-cm12-1-custom-root-firmware-20151008/page-2/?lang=fr#p54937
