Negative. We do not have a LP kernel nor kernel sources for Pipo P4.

Please correct me if I think wrongly: P9 seems to be a bigger version of P4 and if the hw is matching (same BT chip, touch screen controller, voltage regulator IC, Wifi, etc) then the P9 ROM must be working on P4 as well.
Comparing the dmesg logs could be a good starting point, right?

The PMU is the same. So it is a limited risk to flash the P9 kernel into the P4.

I saw a new 5.1 ROM for P4 on a russian forum here: https://translate.google.com/translate?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=ru&u=http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php%3Fshowtopic%3D609765%26st%3D100
Does anyone knows where is it come from?
Who made it and is it safe?

OMA can you check on this one? I don't where they got the rom or kernels but it says it was based on p4-5.1-201501009
I don't remember any official release from pipo or there is some unknown release in china... Maybe you can find something useful from there...
ROM is 5.1 for P4 by XuanEdge (legit uploader from Pipo BBS forums)
http://a7f58b.l83.yunpan.cn/lk/cFLdyMhyp3I7M
code is c37e
My DL speed is slow, don't know if my ISP or the great firewall of china...
Thanks!

Here is the P4 selinux kernel #70 (preempt 22 Sep 2015) from that build: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2716
If somebody would like to test with CM12.1 build: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/rk3288-entwicklung-und-customroms-development-and-croms/cm12-1-has-landed-on-rk3288/?lang=fr

Hi OMA I tested CM12.1 with your Kernel it boots up perfectly fine but some functions doesn't workt...
Auto-Rotate doesn't work (I don't know what other sensors doesn't work too)
Camera doesn't (no camera app installed, tried installing camera app but says it can't connect to camera)
Earphones doesn't work (sounds still goes to Tab speakers)
Mic doesn't work
No HDMI?
Wifi Works well
Bluetooth works (haven't tested connecting to any device but it can scan and show nearby devices so it must be working)
Auto Brightness works
Speaker Sounds/Audio works fine
still checking will add feedback later, BTW UI is super smooth thanks!

Hi OMA I tried flashing the new kernel with the P9 5.1.1 and it works better than the Cm12.1 and change build prop density to 240 (also model number to P4)
Tested working:
*Auto-rotate works perfectly
*Camera works now (but led flash doesn't and automfocus seems a little weaker)
*Headphones work properly
*Wifi works
*OTG works
*HDMI works
Facebook andYoutube video works no display/sound issues
Mx player works
*Very smooth UI antutu is 37500
Some issues still present:
*Auto Brightness works but touch response habe delays and some ghost touch issues when enabled
*Led flash doesn't work
Still checking for more... Will test bluetooth later
*also , is it possible to have 6 gb internal and swapped Nand and external SD?
Thank you for all your works this is a great development for P4 users.

Tested working:
*Auto-rotate works perfectly
*Camera works now with led flash working too, autofocus seems a little weaker, and shutter button layout is same with Oma's P9 rom its at the top in portrait should be below..
*Mic works
*Headphones work properly
*Wifi works
*OTG works
*HDMI works but screen zooming is weird on my tablet when you try to slide to adjust the screen fit on an ext. dispaly it's the tablets dispaly that zooms in and out not the ext. monitor/display lol
*Facebook and Youtube video works no display/sound issues
*Mx player works
*TWRP works
*was able to replace KingUser with SuperSU/SuperUser using update via twrp , I've already uninstall it and delete its apk in the system but it still gives an on screen message from time to time, somewhat annoying when your playing games or watching video as it will minimize whatever app your using
*Very smooth UI antutu is 37500 (same with OMA's P9 rom)
*Not sure if Xposed is working other testers said they got bootlooped I haven't tried yet...
Some issues still present:
*Auto Brightness works but touch response have delays and some ghost touch issues when enabled, and will like not response to touch anymore when you try to lock and unlock the tablet...
*HDMI screen zooming (adjust the screen fit on an ext. dispaly it's the tablets dispaly that zooms in and out not the ext. monitor/display weird..)
Still checking for more but so far it is very good alot faster than 4.4...
~would love to have it 6gb internal and swapped Nand and external SD~
maybe OMA can adopt this rom and give it his magic? lol 🙂

The P4R version also linked here: http://yun.baidu.com/share/home?uk=2500259834#category/type=0
I tried both on my P4R WIFI, my first experience is positive but the battery drain is higher, it is caused by "Cell standby" with 22%, next one is Screen with 6%. I set the tablet to Airplane mode, BT, GPS disabled, WIFI enabled only when screen is on, but the Cell standby is still the highest consumer.
I could not install recovery and root so I could not modify the build.prop. 🙁 I tried it with AndroidTool 2.3 and TWRP 2.8.4 which worked well with Android 4.4.
Jastaz23, what twrp version did you use and how did you installed it?
Btw, GPS does not work, apps does not recognize it.
