Hi,
I'm badly need some help to revive my (rockchip-rk31sdk-WAWJMDN1KN).
I decide to go ahead and try some custom rom using RKAndroidTool did not realize that by cleaning IDB I will low level format..
Before doing that I did save few pictures and run log via "android studio" also I backup whole unit via CWM hoping I will always have access to recovery.Unfortunately that not the case. The good think I still have access to RKAndroidTool( the tool is recognizing my device).
I can post link to my CWM backup if may help.
Inside that CWM backup is kernel.bin, system.bin recovery bin all large sizes files (complete CWM of my last working tablet rk3188). Maybe someone be able to advice how to make proper files to revive my system from that backup I have or help me some how to get recovery working so I can use my CWM backup or any other way to make this tab back to life again..
Many thanks for your kindness and time.
Have nice day

ro.build.display.id=rk3188-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 eng.root.20130912.185132 test-keys

Try this build, just change the kernel in folder rockdev/Images. Attached kernel is from your CWM backup.

Thank you Mr.Oma

This build with my kernel did not fix the problem.

After run finished the device restarted and was detected by the androidTool and also drive F and G appear in windows from android tablet.

Android studio is not detecting any device in adb , before with my boot and recovery extracted files with rk3xxx_firmware_tools5.78 from cwm ,it was able to detected as nexus7 device. All process was also running.

Please suggest some other option.

Thank you very much for your time !!!

update_

I did change to my boot.img now and I have nexus 7 recognize again in android studio. Please take a look in attached file.

Did you execute eraseIDB?

What is going on on the tab? Kernel logo? CWM? Bootanimation? Some sort of looping?

Yes I did execute erase IDB.

No reaction to power button.Automatic restart after using RKandroidTool (you hear driver found sound in windows). And message Found RKandroid rock USB in RKtool. Also Drive F and G popping up in windows. With my boot.img and kernel Device is recognize as a nexus 7 in Android Studio and text log I attached in previous conversation.I will be glad to see CWM.No boot animation no kernel logo - (I guess first penguins after pressing power button)

Attached Android monitor.txt created within Android studio after added my boot.img

We need the kernel running first. After automatic restart nothing on the screen? Kernel logo is the first screen you will see and could be 3 penguines or the brand name.

After restart nothing on the screen.

This kernel size is cainoff big 12.288 mb, it is exactly the same size as from my cwm backup.

Is that correct size or need to be extracted to proper size.Recovery.img and boot.img original size in CWM is much bigger then the one extracted by me with RK3xxx_firmware_tools_5.78.35.00 and extracted ones are very similar sizes to the ones in rockdev folder.

I'm wondering why the whole think is recognize by Android Studio and not powering at all?

The CWM just dump the whole partition, consequently the image size is larger.

The kernel boots in some way, otherwise you won't have logs. Can I have a dmesg log?

Ok. The tab has anyway AP6476 wifi. So better we try this JB build: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=3626.

Just change the kernel in folder rockdev/Image. Flash incl. the loader and eraseIDB.

No luck.

1.power button not responding.

2.Device restarts in windows (drivers),disconnect  (drive letters coming and going)

3.changing boot.img to mine extracted (attached) from BIG inside CWM 12.288mb boot.img file extracting via RK3xxx_firmware_tools_5.78.35.00 ----- I can access android studio (again connect and disconnects)

My question is in this in this kernel.txt I see lines:

<5>[ 0.000000] Kernel command line: console=ttyFIQ0 androidboot.console=ttyFIQ0 init=/init initrd=0x62000000,0x00130000 mtdparts=rk29xxnand:0x00002000@0x00002000(misc),0x0000
6000@0x00004000(kernel),0x00008000@0x0000a000(boot),0x00010000@0x00012000(recovery),0x00020000@0x00022000(backup),0x00040000@0x00042000(cache),0x00800000@0x00082000(userdata),0x
00002000@0x00882000(kpanic),0x0012a000@0x00884000(system),-@0x009ae000(user) bootver=2013-06-20#1.24 firmware_ver=4.2.2

is this not corresponding where supposed to be the proper addressees locations for my img files? since this log is from original kernel

Thank you Mr.OMA

The kernel boots in an curious way. I got the impression it is corrupted somehow.

Backing up boot image...
mtd: read error at 0x00c00000 (File exists)
Backup of boot image completed.
Backing up recovery image...
mtd: read error at 0x02000000 (No space left on device)
Backup of recovery image completed.
Backing up kernel image...
mtd: read error at 0x00c00000 (No space left on device)
Backup of kernel image completed.

The CWM log shows some confusing messages ...

Without a fully booting kernel we are trapped. Sorry.

Then What are my options ? try different kernels from your topic "V88 by oma rocks!" ? any other suggestions?

Questions:

1.By erasing and writing many times It want effect tab life?

2.Should I erase first corresponding sector and then place new kernel.img in that sector or just flash new kernel over 0x000040000 address ?

3.The address I pointed in my previous mail do not work that way(kernel.txt -----addresses)

I have so many questions.

I will still try to look for solution till I have some positive results.

Thank you very very much for all your help Mr.OMA
