I followed the instructions:
3) change the loader (skip when the firmware has the same loader generation)
a) run RKDevelopTool.exe
b) button with the 3 points: load the loader (gen1 = v1.24, gen 2 = v2.16)
c) Erase ID Block
d) Erase All Blocks
e) Download
Here I choose the gen2 loader, then I did c-d-e steps. RKDevelopTool.exe wrote on the screen that it was succesful, but since then the tablet is dead. It doesnt want to turn on, connect to my pc, anything...:( I tried these methods to save it (http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/76825-chuwi-v88-bricked-fixed/).

Could be that the usb flash-driver are not installed properly. Any reaction in the Flashtool while shorting the NAND pins?

Here is a driver assistant: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1187
Make sure the pack is in C:
Uninstall driver first, then Install.

In such cases it is the best to try with an other PC.

Thanks God I could fix it. The problem was that in every forum they say that first connect the tablet to the pc and then short the NAND modul out. It worked for me in a different order.
Part 1: Open v88 and short out NAND module
1. Unplug usb and power charger from v88.
2. Perform a "Deep Power Off" by pressing the Power button for at least 20 secs
3. Start up both RKBatchTool and RKAndroidTool using admin privileges
4. Open v88 casing
6. Connect v88 to PC using USB
7. Locate pins 8 & 9 on the #1 NAND module and short them out using a small pin, paperclip or small screwdriver. If shorting out pins 8 & 9 don't work, try shorting out pins 7 & 8 and while you short them connect usb cable to the tablet.
8. By shorting out the NAND module, you have put your tablet in "Mask ROM Mode." The RKAndroidTool should now indicate your tablet is recognized by showing the following message: "Found RKAndroid MaskRom Rock Usb"

Hi Oma!
A had problem with my Chuwi v88 first gen, and I tried the exactly same thing as unyiattila above did. My tablet doesn't turn into Mask ROM Mode, but the tablet has rebooted in german language and asks for a password: "Passwort zum EntschlĂĽsseln des Speichers eingeben". I don't know what password should I use, and now if my tablet boots, this is the only interaction I can make with it. I hope you can help me. By the way your Kit Kat ROM 4.4.4 (if I good remember) with gen1 loader was on it.
