Hard power off by Reset. Then hold Power and Reset to start the flash modus.

Tried to no avail.

The Device is connected to Power and PC while doing this correct?

Power off by reset seems to work. If I then press and hold Power and reset nothing happens... if I let go of reset the device comes back as ADB device.. Switch button in Tool does seem to work but has no effect...

Other buttons just give device mismatch.

LowerFormat is missing.

Unplug usb-cable. Press Reset. Hold Power and plug usb-cable.

Nope does not work... Keep getting Marvin back

I am sure I did do a low level format... SN of the device is Q8BG115010091 used to have kernel 531.

Another stray version?

The log does not show a LowerFormat. Flashing the build into the given partition sizes corrupted the images.

When there is no possibility to start into flash modus by the typical key combinations you need to open the tab to start the mask-rom modus.

In principle like here:

Wow...

Ill see if I can just send it back ... Already put in a complaint about Play store missing... They told me to root the tablet...

This V17 does not open very well...

Any other options with ADB or such?

No response... Command gets send OK but no response, I think you were right and the image is busted.

It responses to the devices command alright so there must be some basics running. Cant I sort of TFTP an Image to the Chuwi?

It should know Push and Pull commands correct?

Thanks to Oma I managed to get my bricked chuwi v17HD RK3128 back to life.

Here is what I did:

Windows 7 x64 laptop

I opened the bricked chuwi v17HD

I connected the USB cable to the pc and the Chuwi

I opened the RK flash tool (AndroidTool v2.3)

I shorted pin 8 and 9 (chip Hynix H27UCG8T2BTR). Pin 1 starts from the tablet edge side of the chip.

I pressed the reset button and voila the laptop recognized the tabled (I tried without pressing the reset button and it didn't work).

I had to install the driver included in your download package for the RK3128

I just pointed the driver update to your folder path

The driver installed

I got Mask Rom Found on the flash tool

I ticked the loader box in the RKTool

I clicked Run and a few minutes later the tablet rebooted.

I got some kind of not found message with the green droid but the tablet finished updating and rebooted

It's working now.

Oma,

I need a soft to move apps to sdcard in batch. I have a lot of apps. I'm using the tablet for educational purposes. in JB I used to use Link2SD but with KitKat nothing works. I tried all apps on playstore. I can move apps with the stock Settings app but this is a manual process. I need to move apps because I'm running out of internal storage space. I noticed this build has 2GB of internal storage. Does this mean you can partition the build and get any amount of internal storage or is there a limit. the chuwi is showing 2GB internal and 4.28 Nand flash. I would like to have 5.5 GB internal and the rest as external NAND. Is this possible.

Another question: I'll be buying more of the this tablet and I would like to know if there is a method (probably like you build your packages) to have a master image to deploy to other tablets with all the application and settings configured. I used to use TWRP with ICS and ainol tablets. Can I do the same for the chuwi?

And I really need to make this version of chuwi v17hd to charge over the usb port. I guess I'm going to test rewiring the usb port to the charging port. Hope I won't blow it up 🙂

I guess it charges over usb port, but only when the tab is off or screen is off.

What do you mean by screen orientation not working? No rotation or just wrong orientation?
