I have a Chuwi V17HD Q8G1150100921.
Came with kernel 531.
Now trying this rom but I do not get found one loader device but get found one ADB device.
It tells me mach device type failed when I try to do something like format or run...
Yesterday I succeeded with a 2nd gen Chuwi thanks for that rom! I guess this must be a 3rd gen correct?
Tried the Kemper Build,
Androidtool finds one loader device now working, using the kernel from your above build.... Does not work...
Retrying with the Kemper Kernel.... No luck sofar...
My bad... only changed the kernel forgot the boot and resources, now looking at oma screen.... Device starts up with a football pitch... Alas orientation is off.
Now applying the fix.. takes very long...
Does not work... I am stuck with the wrong orientation... any help?
Ok, you got the flash driver working now. Try the build from post #1 again.

Retried the fix... finished within 10 seconds and the orientation problem is fixed! Thanks...
Only just noticed that trw has fixed the timezone ... to the wrong zone... any way of undoing that.. again user error... should not have meddled with it...
What is the difference between the Kemper build and your above build please?
Thanks for the help!
BTW the tablet now runs the Kemper and Straus build with the RK3126 Kernel and the orientation fix...
Fine. There should be not much difference. The build in post #1 is done based on a dump from the tab. Reason was that someone claimed a quality issue with the headset output in the Kempler&Strauss build. I am still of the opinion this is hardware/kernel related.

I have just received a V17HD with serial # Q8G1150600010, Model CW0858.
Do I dare try the above ROM on this tablet?
Some additional info...

Thanks in advance!
New kernel #607. Can you pls dump the firmware first?

I do have a small problem. Though everything seems to work fine I cannot install the "run frozen princess" app.
Downloads just fine but then fails to install. Tried it several times. Other apps do not have problems.
Where can I find detailed error messages please and how can I clear the cache?
Thanks in advance.
Ok, should make no difference. Here is the kernel #607: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2582
Use the build in post#1. Change the files in folder rockdev/Image before flash.

Oops I think I've done it now..
Because some apps did not install tried to install the build from post 1 instead of the kemper build per your advice....
Got the device into bootloader mode with the app and flashed the files from post 1 above with the 531 kernel files... Now the device starts up shows the dead droid with the warning flag and later the androidtool finds one ADB device... Switch does not work, got no volume buttons... Is the Chuwi deceased?
Is there a reset hole?
