Good day guys !

And thanks a lot for all the good work already done!

I am the "owner" of a brand new "Elliptik8" tablet. Pretty good piece of hardware, that carries:

  • rk3126,
  • rtl8703AS for wifi and bluetooth
  • a single kingston 4Gb for storage
  • a very neat motherboard (YK86VQ-RK3126-V2.0)
  • 1024*600 touchscreen driven by a Silead GSL1680

Sadly, this device is pretty unstable and regularly ask for a wipe :/

Since I have no computer running Microsoft Windows, I dumped and started working with all the good stuff provided under linux :

I started some work in august 2015, but stopped due to lack of support for rk312X. It seems better now, after repositories have been updated.

Any way, the tablet comes already pre-rooted, making some things easier and some others weirder 🙂

I have been able to install TWRP, works like a charm.

I played a bit with http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot.fr/2015/09/download-android-lollipop-511-stock_7.html : works, but touch screen is disabled.

Here is the original parameter file:

Any chance to build a stable ROM ?

Sounds more like a hardware issue.

After few days of use, the device shows a nice "UIDs on system are inconsistent... I'm feeling lucky". The wipe just don't fix anything, have to reinstall system thanks to builtin recovery. Works for 1 to 2 weeks, then crash again :/

Maybe I'll try to build a new rom if I found a good "how to".

Yeah, it works as long as something is written to defective sectors on the NAND. Make use of your warranty.

"Corrupted" sectors changes from time to time. I'll ask for a RMA.

Thanks Oma for your answers.
