2016/04/18

Hello everyone,
I have an F&U ETB7858, I flashed with Odys Bravio 4.2.2 and KitKat by Oma, and both worked fine except wi-fi.
So, I tried the Roverpad TRC7 firmware, but it couldn`t boot (white screen). Although when I flashed the Odys`s kernel it booted just fine (except wi-fi). Do you have any kernel to recommend me?
Tablet Hardware:
CPU : rk3026 (2core 1GHz)
RAM: 1G
FLASH NAND 2x4G
Motherboard: MID7856-ver1.3
Display : 1024x768
Wi-fi: rtl8188eu.
I tried a lot of kernels but most of them couldn`t boot.
Thank you!

Every tabs has it's specific kernel. Is the stock firmware available or have you done a backup before playing around?

Are you sure it is RTL8188 wifi? When you use the Odys kernel (change kernel, resource, uboot in folder rockdev/Image) then you should have wifi with the Roverpad build.

Sure, the Odys kernel will report RTL8723 wifi.

The ID indicates RTL8188. Try to do a HD foto of the chip.

No, that doesn't work. Use the Roverpad build as is. Just change Odys kernel, resource, uboot.

Sorry, I mixed this up with a rk3126board. It is just the kernel to change in folder rockdev/Image.

That means the Odys kernel will not support the RTL8188 kernel module (address missmatch). Try to get the genuine firmware.
