Great work - without you, effective, albeit older tablets, would be e-waste. I have recovered a dozen of these (Cruz PS47) to update and gift. However, I cannot get beyond the Loox splash screen with Oma's ROM. I suspect that I have not substituted the correct kernel version. Help!! I also have Cruz T410's but they have an early Samsung SoC, S5PV210, 1024x600, EETI touchscreen chipset, and actually announces itself as a pandigitalsprnova1 in software. I suspect Rabid's ROM would work with the correct screen resolution and TS driver. I will gladly donate to anyone building a JB ROM for it. I work mostly on the hardware repair side including reflow soldering and adjunct chips to fix poor workmanship.
About us: We are a 2 person venture. Our focus is R3 (Recovery, Rebuild, Reuse). We rebuild Tablets/Netbooks/Laptops to gift to needy children & the disabled via NPO's (Non-Profit Org's) to learn and connect; >2800 gifted in 17 years. Our hope is to make a positive difference for those in need. My disabled dragon son manages, QC tests, ships our gifts via NPO's to the needy, and has the difficult responsibility of running our small scale profit center (See below).
I fund this work with my veteran's benefit + working capital from sales of high-end tablets in our small profit center. This model fits "Capitalism for a Cause;" a concept I developed wherein a Profit Center funds its Not-4-Profit partner, creating a symmetry of self-reliance.
