Hm, the kernel is responsible for the right keycodes.
Try an older stock kernel: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=743

Yep, it's based on the latest stock image. Instructions are in the download pack.
I do not have the tab, so key combination to boot into flash-mode may different.

I just flashed your rom and looks like everything woks fine except for the CWM which cannot be controlled because U8 has no volume up and down control in the side. more games compatible, increase speed than the stock firmware from pipo. Antutu score is 17k+. multi function windows is awesome. Hoping to fix the CWM soon. Thanks again.

OH, no volume rocker?
No binaries for now to compile a CWM touch.
So best is to use stock recovery: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=910
Flash this recovery.img and misc.img. Tab will then format the user partitions.

Hi oma, I've tried a few roms on my u8 and they seem to work fine, the only problem I'm having is the tab now boots when ever I plug it into either usb or charger. If it's plugged in and I try to turn it off it will boot right back up. Do you know if this rom does that? I believe it's a problem with PIPO's update and if your's is based on theirs than it may have the same problem.

You can boot the tablet directly into "Flash" mode so that you won't have to click the switch in the flash tool.
- Turn off the tablet.
- Press and hold the "ESC" button
- While holding the "ESC" button plug the tablet into your PC.
- After 3-4 seconds you should see or hear your computer indicate that the tablet has been plugged in.
Now if everything workded correctly, you can proceed to flash whatever you want using the flash tool without having to switch modes because the tablet is already in flashing mode.
Hope this works for you, good luck.

Hi Greatnloopy,
Thanks for the tip, I really appreciate it. Actually my tablet already back to normal and flashed with latest firmware update from Pipo. My problem now is the charging port. I need to push hard the usb cable in order to charge and/or detect by the PC. I think the charging port is damage. What is the normal volt of the battery for this unit? Mine is 3volts only is this normal or it should be 3.7volts? Thanks again...
