I received my white 32 gig Pipo P1 from PandaWill yesterday. The battery was partially charged. The accessory pack that came with it had been opened and the box holding the tablet was not sealed. The manual supplied was for the MAX M6 Pro. I wasn't too impressed with that. I ran it for a couple of minutes. It ran fine. Watched parts of the videos in 4K - was lovely. Surfed the internet .... beautiful, YouTube videos ..... no problems. It was quite fast! Loved it.
I removed the protective film on the screen thinking everything was fine with the tablet. The tablet did crash a couple of times with launcher error.
Put the tablet up for charging. Fully charged, it started playing up! The OS went into a loop. Could not access the tablet. The touch screen went almost dead. Every now and then I could just get in, then, the tablet would reboot itself. It kept on doing that until the battery died.
I went online and spoke to one of the employees. She was helpful saying that the company was sorry about it. i was asked to send the service department a video as well as my order details. This I did.
Today I received an email from PandaWill service department asking me to take it to a repair shop in Melbourne (where I live ) to see what was wrong with it. They would be happy to pay reasonable charges. The other alternative I was offered was to send it back to PandaWill and that I would have to pay freight.
Unfortunately, we don't have a repair shop for Pipo tablets in Melbourne, or anywhere else in Australia, as far as IÂ know. I have emailed them back asking them to send me an RMA and to make provisions for return postage from Australia to China. I have made it clear that I should not have to pay ANY charges as I have been sent a faulty tablet.
It seems to me that PandaWill does not ship the tablets directly from their own warehouse. Some third party ships it for them (drop shipping.)
I will post their response to my email as soon as I hear from them.
Has anyone else had problems with the P1? Seems like the tablet might have issues with KitKat.
Cheers.

Update for the guys following this:
I have received THREE emails so far from Pandawill service department asking me to take it to a REPAIR centre or send it back to them - wanting me to pay for the return postage! Looks like it is falling on deaf ears. Haven't received any RMA code or return postage related info to date.
If I don't get an acceptable answer in the next 24 hours, I will escalate it through Paypal to recover my money.I would have preferred them just replacing the damn thing and just getting over it! They can recover their money from the drop shipper/Pipo.
I seriously advise everyone look at this video on Youtube BEFORE buying the P1. Unfortunately, I had not seen it before buying the P1. I don't know if Pipo has got an update to fix the problem ........
Â
Cheers.
Satmel.
Hello satmel,
Thanks for posting your story.
The problems you are having are typical with the first batches for new Chinese tablet models, the Cube U30GT2 had issues, same for the PiPO M9 and many other models...
Your report makes me think about a mixed software/hardware issue. Have you tried flashing the tablet with latest firmware ?
Regarding a Paypal complaint, be sure to make it not later than 45 days from the date the product was paid. I had to use it once for a tablet received from geekbuying.com which had some defects on the screen, the Paypal escalation went fine as I received a compensation for the defect as I prefer to keep the tablet as is rather than sending back and recovering all my payment.
Good luck with Pandawill,
Cheers.

Thank for your reply, admin. Much appreciated.
I have not tried to update the ROM, just in case Pandawill makes a counter claim. I have lodged a complaint with Paypal, and now await the Pandawill service department's reply. I will keep you posted. Thanks again for your help.
Cheers.

Hello again guys!
All I was getting from Pandawill was the RMA, postal address, a bunch of conditions, but NO mention of them paying the return postage,so.... I sent them an email threatening to escalate the dispute to the next level if no satisfactory reply was received before midday Australian Eastern Standard Time, I received the following reply:
"Dear ....:
We're so sorry for what had happened to you.
But could you please close the dispute first?
And then we can talk about it ,you can send it back please ,after we confirm,we'll give you a satisify answer
Thank you
Yours
J....."Â Â Â Â Â <------ New guy dealing with the case.
