So I had to replace the touchscreen on my mom's tablet after she dropped it's corner and left it with a few big cracks. Now after booting it up and at first seeing how nice it looked to be whole again I find that it's not touching where I am trying to touch. I quickly come to find that it's as if the touchscreen were upside down. With the power and reset buttons on top, I try and touch the top, it's touching something on the bottom, left and right it seems fine.
I ran across a thread (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?8023-Pipo-M9-touch-screen-not-working) that had the same problem but it was on a Pipo M9, not Pro, and he installed RileyRom 2.3 and it fixed it. I was on the newest KitKat firmware so I tried installing RileyRom 2.1, RileyRom 2.5.2, RileyRom 3.4 (back to KitKat), and back to the newest KitKat firmware from this forum and had the same problem all the way across.
I thought there would be some screen calibration app somewhere but haven't found anything so far to fix this. I tried some of this stuff but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the Pipo M9 Pro http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?16663-Nextbook-8-nx008hd8g-m8000nd-Touchscreen-inverted!&p=221324&viewfull=1#post221324
The supplier must have given you another version of your screen. I have one ZENITHINK C93 Tablet (my grandaughter accidently broke the screen)the screen was ordered with the exact same Part Number from the supplier (I confirmed that the number printed on the screen part number was exactly correct) but hey and  behold it couldnt fit into the recessed front panel, I had to XActo the inside of the front panel for it to be able to seat.
But now I have given up on repairing the tablet. It was left under my table around 7 months already after the ribbon cable about 3.0cm length broke off. Where to get the cable??
Dont blame the firmware, it is more of your hardware.

I think you're misunderstanding. The replacement fits perfectly, it is exactly the same size as the old one, only difference is the chip is made for the M9 or M9 Max which communicates with the digitizer differently. A developer on another forum is trying to make a new kernel for the M9 Pro and he says he should be able to flip how the y-axis works once he finishes. He doesn't own one of these tablets so I and a few other users are testing his kernels to help him. He's currently having trouble getting his test kernels to show anything on screen. But anyways, hopefully he will figure that out and then flipping the y-axis hopefully shouldn't be too big of a problem.
There you go! It only fits perfectly BUT the driver chip is different which makes it worthless and incompatible. Mine only doesnt fit in nicely but everything else is OK.
To solve the problem by rewriting the kernel (it is no small feat but a gargantuant request on the "devevloper") is like reinventing the wheel after a tyre has gone flat. I wish you guys the best of luck!
I would buy a new "front panel sub assembly" (digitiser+front bezel+screen+cable) and just plug one end of the cable into  the main PCB and close it up and off you go.But after this episode I would just buy(since the cost+postage= 50% price of tablet) a new tablet and use this tablet as experimentation sample and parts. I had a lot of this at home to learn up design and firmware experimentations since I am a ROM modder.(to modify a kernel???)
These parts are only available from specialist suppliers close to the manufacturers home based (Guandong)factory. You have to search through AliExpress /Global Sources/ SpeMall ect. listing. I bought my spares thro a trader on AliExpress after 3 days of searching.
Good luck!

Dear friends, please, help.
Accidentally i've flashed Pipo M9 (not Pro) firmware for my M9 Pro. The tablet didn’t load.
The correct firmware, which I’ve installed after that, fixed the problem with loading of android, but did not fix problem with touch screen.
Now I have fully working android and reverted/reversed touch screen (for example, if I slide up it works left to right). I need to turn tablet’s x-axis to y-axis.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

same here, i crack my touchscreen before on my m9pro 3g... originaly got a gt928 chip but replacement are vtc_363 chip that i buy from my pipo seller, his credited pipo supplier only have this new vtc toch for replacement due that pipo replace the laggy gt928 touch in production. When i first fit vtc363 into tablet, with all rom the touch was reverted. only way was to send back to china that pipo could flash the eeprom of the controler chip on the motherboard to have re,event gpio to work properly....

I wonder if anyone is watching these older threads.Â
Anyway, I have replaced the broken screen on my PiPo Max M9 WiFi and it appears to be the wrong screen. The vendor said it was for my tablet, but I think it's really for the Pro, or maybe a 3G model. It fits physically, but my original has a strip of contacts on the top and side, and this new one has it only on the top.
The glass I received has this number:
F-WGJ10136-V1Â
Here is all the info on my original screen:
A11020A10053_V05_(1) CT363
UMTC TOUCH
2012-09-14
On the chip is says:
VTL
CT363
1237-BD
FA24525
So, obviously the Y axis (up & down) is reversed. I'd gladly trade this screen for someone who has the proper one. In the meantime maybe I'll try the Riley rom thing.

I'm having the same problem. Change the touch screen and has invested me the X axis (left is right, with the tablet horizontally). Up and down work fine. It is a Pipo M9 (normal) with 2 nand.Any help?
Thank you!
I do not know if it is safe to try this kernel on a normal Pipo M9 so try at your own risk but d33 over on FreakTab has made a few different kernels for the Pipo M9 Pro to flip the digitizer in either the x or y axis: http://freaktab.com/forum/tablet-support-android/pipo-tablets/development-projects/19677-pipo-project-m9pro-kernel/page16. I have the Pipo M9 Pro and flashed his kernel on top of FreakTab's M9 Pro RileyROM 3.0.1, it's not perfect as I notice some delay sometimes but it's better than a completely unusable upside down touchscreen axis. AGAIN, THIS KERNEL IS FOR THE PIPO M9 PRO, WHICH I FLASHED ON TOP OF RileyROM 3.0.1, TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
The following users say thank you to BliND123 for this useful post:

The kernel does not serve me. After installation, the tablet does not start. Android logo appears with the triangle.
Thanks!
