Hello davidhq,

Sure, as you can see this firmware from end of year 2013 is quite outdated and considerable progress in performance and stability has been done with latest KitKat release.

Cheers.

Thanks alot man!!, seems to work smoother then the crap stock firmware.

Also allot crap apps dissapeared, nicely done. Makes it clean and stable.

3G works, multitasking option dissapeared but it was useless anyway.

Firmware is indeed Rooted!, and a plus point for the easy install instructions on the internet!

Thanks alott!!!Laugh

Rom is  compatible  with  PipoM9?

Why do you want to do this ??, havent we told you enough times on these forum pages M9Pro firmwares are only for  M9Pro and M9 firmware are only for M9. You WILL, I REPEAT W-I-L-L brick your device if you use the wrong firmwares!!

Any posibility of an updated ROM? Mine has run pretty much ok since last update - occasioanl freeze and reboot BUT it isn't smooth any more. If I select the drop down task bar it 'judders' a little as it slowly slides down - anything I ca do? I haven't added much, if anything, since last update.

Thanks

Thanks

There will not be any updates yet in this near future since the last update was very recent 15/May and is stable already. The WiFi is fine, 3G is fine even on non 3G models,GPS is so,so, so but working.

I am looking into building a CWM flashable updates I am tired of flashing and wiping the WHOLE device everytime theres a new update, also takes longer to modify ROMs.

REDSCORPION,

Seems like yours has still got some cleaning up to do. We have just recently adjusted from 4GB data space to 7Gb data space (whoever needs that big space?)When I first updated to #407 version (successful flash and boot up) I had a lot of hiccups too then I checked the cache (it just says cache) and I had 600MB of cache files somewhere on my device, this is due to fact that changing from 4Gb to 7Gb had left behind some ORPHAN files. so I used some maintenance tools to clear up the 600MB cache and reflash the device again and wallah! Everything is OK without any more hiccups.

We should have wipe everything before flashing the #407 ROM >>> system/data/dalvik cache/cache I found out that our flash script doesnt wipe the system partition it only overwrites it unlike most other flashing tools which wipes EVERYTHING (incl system partition) with the exception of NAND memory (this should best be left alone.)

Cool. Can I clarify though - what should I do at this point to possibly improve my tablet? Re-Flash after full wipe, system partition, clear Dalvik etc? Is there a way of clearing this without flashing or wait until there is an update? It works well enough so I'll survive :-)

Thanks

I can't install the rom.

It throws me the message:

<Layer 2-3> This operation didn't do, because of not supporting!

Restore Done Success<0> Fail<1> Time<0>ms

The button saying upgrade tells me the same.

I tried to reset, hitting with a needle the reset hole + power button, but I got the same message. In Rockchip Batch tool, the connected devices  box paints in pink the number one, with "2-3" under it.

Anybody with a possible solution?

Thanks.

For all devices which uses Rockchip31XX, you may use "Rockchip_Batch_Tool_v1.7". If your computer O.S. is windows 7, you may face to "This operation didn't do, because of not supporting!". If the computer O.S. is XP you will see the above warning after connecting your device to computer in the pink number one. Do not worry, press "switch" tab the device will be shutted down immediately, and the "connected devices" icon will be green promptly. Now you can "upgrade" or "Restore" your device.

In conclusion you may perform your device flash using windows XP on your computer, without any problem.
