Hello, I've tried this FW on 2 PiPO Max-M9 Pro 3G, and the both don't work anymore : the flashlight of the camera stay alway brighting and the screen stay black, but with backlight.

When I try to go back to old FW, same problem...

Anyone know what I can do ?

Yep ! You updated an M9 Max with the M9 Pro Firmware. I have done this before and had exactly the same behaviour. The good news is that you can revert. Download the M9 Max firmware from http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/pipo-max-m9/rom-pipo-m9-android-4-4-2-kitkat-custom-root-firmware-20140604/ and the official Batch Tool 1.7 from the PIPO Site. Run the tool, select the M9 firmware and the tool will erase the IDB and overwrite the bad one. That's what I did...

Yep! sounds about right. You have just flash the wrong firmware on your device! It is either you flashed the M9 firmware on  M9Pro device or an M9Pro firmware on a M9 device. Please check for god sakes and watch what you are doing! We are lucky that we can still recover an RK3188 device it is a bit rugged and can be reflashed. Some device if you do this you will end up with a heavy /expensive paper weight.

Your English is NOT that BAD! What is it that you do not understand when I put RESTORE, RESTORE, RESTORE!!! You dont have to ask the question again! If we follow the Chinese instructions which is (always outdated in English) then we all will be be having alot of broken devices. There are horror stories that some people they brick their devices when they use UPGRADE. (Go to Slatedroid.com , I was from there)

Folks,

first hello you all as this is my very first post.

I own a PipoM9 Pro with original firmware, and would like to install the Kitkat mentionned herabove.

From Windows Seven X64, when I start RKBatchTool, I can load and see the firmware, but I can never see the Pipo as a devive known to RKBatch.

As soon as I plug the Pipo to the computer using USB cable, I am asked by the tablet if I accept to enable it as a USB drive for the computer. If I do so, I can see all my files, but that's it.

I believe that there is an issue with the drivers lying in the BatchTool directory, but I cannot clearly see what to do.

So if anybody is willing to give me a hint, this would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

I also recommend to use the Rockchip easy driver installer for installing the drivers correctly.Cool
