ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !
Here is an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean rooted firmware for the PIPO M9 tablet (aka Max-M9, not the M9pro version) that should work on both the 3G and WiFI tablet models. It is based on latest PiPO update 1.0.6 dated 2013/10/25 and offers the multi-windows feature.
(update#66_M9_english_1.0.6_NOMMS_20131025.img)
Build information:
Kernel: Linux version 3.0.36+ (root@lzj-desktop) (gcc version 4.6.x-google 20120106 (prerelease) (GCC) ) #66 SMP PREEMPT Fri Oct 25 09:11:19 CST 2013
Android 4.2.2 JB: rk30sdk/rk30sdk/rk30sdk:4.2.2/JDQ39/eng.root.20131025.094422:eng/opinions-on-teclast-p90hdst-keys
ro.rksdk.version=RK31_ANDROID4.2.2-SDK-v1.04.00
Notes:
- Certificate Center and original PiPO launchers have been kept in the firmware
- Certificate Center will ask for product key, which is not needed, just hit later and connect to Internet and it will be activated
- any update received thru OTA may interfere with our custom firmware, we recommend to refuse any update pushed OTA.
Custom firmware features:
- root with latest SuperSU version 1.65 (free version)
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- Google Play Store fixes so more application are visible/compatible
- updated busybox v1.21.0.git (2012-11-29)
- Unix like init.d boot scripts support, more details on init.d scripts here
- changed permissions on external sdcard to allow write access
- increased space for applications (/data partition) to 4 GB
- kernel modules (cifs, tun, lan, serial, xpad) compiled by Oma & Crew RKTablets, thank guys!
- NEW! optional ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install package

Flash with Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7, use Restore button.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a PIPO M9 tablet to test the custom firmware.

Nope not correct! I never had any problems with writing on sdcard since my first ROM build #274, I amde my backups directly from Titanium or ROmToolbBox on the sdcard from the first day out of the box. Kasty ROm has eliminated all that since, like ever.
I belief you didn't wipe the internal sdcard properly or you used a quick format for the sdcard, that is why I streesed here that I do an sdcard format from the settings menu and then go in and manually delete any left over directories inthe insternal sdcard before I start flashing, belief me. I lost wifi connections for 4 months (on another brand 10inch pad because of the leftover/junks inside the internal sdcard before I update to CM10.2. Only after a deleting and formatting the internal sdcard leftovers and reflashing a fresh copy of ROM did I manage to get back my wifi. the sdcard not being able to be written on KASTY ROM that is a first.Did you read through the forums not one complains regarding this issue. Maybe you have to relook at how your start your flashing procedures.

hi, sorry for my poor english, i have a pipo m9 PRO.
it has 1920*1200 display. it is good. BUT...
but gpu of this tablet can not handle its hi res. display ass well.
i mean pipo max m9 with 1280*800 display runs clearly faster and smoother than pipo m9 PRO 1920*1200
So...
so i want to install rom of pipo m9 max on my pipo m9 PRO. so i can have a tablet with 1280*800
can i use this rom???? does it break my tablet??
----------------------
i have already use some apps like "lcd density" and "resolution changer" with no succes.

Absolutely not. Flashing ROM from different tablets may brick your tablet. There are too many difference in the hardware (LCD, touch controller, etc.)

new version on 29/10/2013
The firmware indicated "pure" version, no bloatware added ,no extra apps, no Pipo Launcher, no nothin'......
please create a custom roms rooted whit this
thanks
Duplicate work my friend and you dont order people around like that! It is the same as the just released KASTY 30/Oct ROM.
If you like it so much why dont you flash the ROM yourself and root it yourself! I have attached here the Rooting method for your use.

Like cracktech, I suspect this is not a real update, but just a repack of previous #66 firmware you see in post #1.
If anyone has seen a revision history for that "new version" for 29/10/2013, or tried it and can confirm it works better than previous version (please state which bugs have been resolved) I'll surely do a custom firmware update.
Cheers.

hello I have installed the stock firmware #66 + root.
I have installed the CWM, apparently, always successfully but I just can't enter in CWM?
This is not the first time I do this procedures but this time when I try to go into CWM always get the android logo lying down with the open belly.
I have tried to install rom manager and its saying the I have CWM and TWRP installed.....
The CWM I have installed as usual with a flash tool and in the respective locations. I tries x0001000 and x0001400
Can someone give me a hand here?
Thanks
Pipo P9
