Thanks for sharing. I had a couple questions for you by comparing another rom that I came across in the FreakTab forums (RileyROM). Yours is almost 2x bigger. I was curious why. Also, you indicate that the /data partition is limited to 4GB. The other rom allows for 2, 4, 6 and 8GB options. Is there any reason you picked 4GB with no options to change it? I haven't tried either rom yet, but these questions were nagging me. Thanks in advance for the help!

Pls can you explain to this / The other rom allows for 2, 4, 6 and 8GB options. / Is it before or flash elected by after flash .... Give details to explain this here to know all ...
If you read the OP, you will notice that it states "increased space for applications (/data partition) to 4 GB". The options I mentioned relate to the /data partition. The question is posed to the OP, however, so if you don't understand that's not a problem, because it's relevant to the actual flashing of the rom. Unless, you happened to be the creator of this rom... Anyway, the before/after question is a bit weird, because it's a situation that arises during and after the flashing of the rom. You obviously wouldn't have a /data partition of any of these sizes from this rom...until you flash this rom. Assuming you are coming from a previous rom, then the size of your /data partition would be whatever it is...and it's completely unrelated to and irrelevant with the /data partition size in this rom.

I haven't checked the other firmware you are mentioning, but the size difference usually come from a different method of packaging the firmware.
Our custom firmware comes with 4 GB space for /data partition as it's the space size requested by the majority of users. There's no one size fits all, but it's a good combo given the flash storage available on the M9 pro and the requirements of Android apps. I'll even consider offering more apps storage space options if users need it.
Cheers.

Cool, thanks for the input. I have yet to run out of /data space, however, with the ability to use an external card, I personally wouldn't mind that it eats up a lot of the free space. Increasing /data would probably be useful for people installing a lot (or very large) games, although there could be other reasons.
One other question - Flashing back and forth between this and another rom (either custom or stock)...any issues? Or does it work just fine?
Edit: Is it possible to change the initial splash screen? I know how to change the bootanimation.zip file, but was wondering if the splash screen can also be changed. Thanks!
Is this compatible with multi windows ? Have you considered including multi windows ?
I was thinking as per
This firmware should support multi-windows, I can't check to confirm as I don't have a Pipo M9 PRO.

I have succesfully root the RileyRom 1.2 on my Pipo M9 pro.
The wifi reception is now really bad, only 2 meters en the wifi reception drops time after time. I had with the stock rom much beter reception and stability.
What can I do to fix this?
Everytime when I reboot the tabelt ticks 3 times. Is this normal?
Overall the RileyRom has improved the tabelt a lot.Â
