Here is an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean rooted firmware for the PIPO M9 (aka Max-M9) tablet based on latest official update from Pipo
Kernel: Linux version 3.0.36+ (wuhao@mid-server) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC) ) #740 SMP PREEMPT Wed Mar 27 15:28:19 CST 2013
Android 4.1 JB: rk30sdk/rk30sdk/rk30sdk:4.2.2/JDQ39/eng.ljh.20130426.105106:eng/opinions-on-teclast-p90hdst-keys
Custom firmware features:
- root with latest SuperSU version 1.25 (free version)
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- Google Play Store fixes so more application are visible/compatible
- updated busybox v1.21.0.git (2012-11-29)
- Unix like init.d boot scripts support, more details on init.d scripts here
Flash with Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.6, use Restore button.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a PIPO M9 MAX tablet to test the custom firmware. If there are problems with this custom firmware, I'll work on fixing them as soon as possible.

Sorry about that, link is fixed now.
I think the M9 3G model needs a different firmware. I should be able to build a custom firmware based on PIPO M9 3G stock firmware, but I first need confirmation that my firmware is post #1 works on the M9 tablet (non 3G model).
Did you flash with Rockchip Batch Tool in the first place ?
You can try shutdown down the tablet (keep Power button pressed for 10 seconds or so), make sure the USB cable is connected to your computer and the tablet is charged enough.
From the shutdown tablet, press the Vol+ button, keep it pressed then press the Power button, see if the square turns Green in Rockchip Batch Tool, if it has another color, try to push Switch button in Rockchip Tool.
PS: I have removed the faulty custom firmware. I'll try to get a M9 Max to debug that firmware problem.
Instead of volume, try using the other hardware button (not the power button) if the tablet has one.
i have no ideia how to solve this.. the batchtool dont recognize the tablet... please help
Hello i'm french and i have the same probleme please help !
vol +/- is not available on pipo m9 tablet
go to your computer device manager and completly remove the drivers related to PIPO.
Rebooit the computer.
When completly boots connect the PIPO to PC with USB and install the drivers of chinese batchtool 1.7 (NOT 1.6) http://www.pipo.cn/En/index.php?m=About&a=gujian_show&id=70
I'm sure this will solve all your problems
BTW, Admin, links on first post aren't working.
A request, can you compile the lastest no_3G (http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=481779&uk=1811948349) with all of the above + multi users feature.
