Could you please make a rooted firmware based on the latest official one?

Then how do I learn how to flash the custom firmware that kasty has posted?
Use this manual:
http://www.pipo.cn/En/index.php?m=Contact&a=index&id=248&type=3
Only change the firmware file.

Apparently, Pipo had released a new firmware update, based of SDK 2.0. There are some reports
of significant improvements in performance.
I found a link to the rooted updated firmware, however my antivirus software found a problem with
downloaded file from that link, I do not want to try it:
Nevertheless, it is interesting.

Ok. So when I go to flash the firmware do I hold the reset button and the volume down button? I'm not sure which button to hold along with the reset button with pipo max m6

I think it is "volume +" button.Do not forget to:
turn off USB debugging
turn on USB storage.
Also, I would wait for some time until someone competent will issue a custom rooted firmware,
based on the latest device firmware, which includes Rockchip SDK 2.0
Thanks. So what is the battery life like on your tablet?

Dear all,
Will we need to reinstall everything (google apps, pics,...) after flashing a new firmware ?
thx for your answer and as everybody will wainting for a root one of the new pipo M6 SDK 2.0 firmware to upgrade.
Advised by admin, I used Titanium Backup application (get it from the Google market).
It allows batch operations. However, when I wanted to restore the applications after the firmware
upgrade, I had to confirm each application's access rights and press the "Install" button. May be, I did it wrong, but for me batch operation should not involve this time consuming activity. It would be
nice to obtain recommendations on better backup/restore procedures from experienced Android guru.
