Flash with Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7, use Restore button.
I flashed this firmware and verified it is working on my PiPO M7 pro test device (thanks sclstore.fr). Unfortunately, I don't have much time for extensive tests on this new firmware release, users feedback is encouraged.

Hi, just downloaded and tried.
For unknown reason, the Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7 failed to switch the table to upgrade mode (button keeps showing Pink color). So I copied the file into update.img and put in the external SDCard and upgrade it that way.
After upgraded, the Kernel version still showed ROM Date: Oct 28 but the build number shows 20131130 already. Not sure if the new rom is fully replaced or not.
At first grant, I found
1. The right-most button to hide the status will overlap the menu button for the old apps (pre 4.x era). So if you have a lot of old apps that still rely on the menu button. You have to find other way.
2. Other than that, I do not see any obvious improvements.
- InstaGram video still not working.
- Overall lag still there.
- "very" slow response when browser doing heavy background loading.
- GPS fixing will still useless.
- H/W reset (by pressing and holding power button) not working.
In conclusion, this table is not ready for mass market.
Solution9420,
The way you updated the firmware is not the proper method so you ended up with a "partially" flashed firmware... For that reason, the feedback you gave will need to be updated when you have correctly flashed the firmware with Rockchip Batch Tool.
Cheers.

I have added the manufacturer's revision history in post #1 and a quick video about the new Quick Boot feature.

No pb to flash this update
Pink->switch->Green->upgrade .... Success
I'm restoring my 220 apps with Titanium ...
I'll give you feedback later, when I'll try my M7pro for 1 or 2 days
Do you know if SMS is back ?
Do you know if deep sleep is working with modem ON ?
(those 2 pbs were on previous official firmware and kasty version)

Thank for the response. I am now fully flashed with the new version.
Here are my quick look (please note that this is all about the tablet usage)
- Overall are "a little" more responsive.
- Less lag but still too slow (comparing to Asus PonePad7 - Intel single-core 1.2G + 500MB/Ram on R.4.1.2)
- Modem power is now on by default. This is good. so you do need to manually turn it on.
- The right-most button to hide the status will overlap the menu button for the old apps (pre 4.x era).
(Workaround by use the apps in landscape mode).
– InstaGram video still not working (same as previous).
– GPS fixing still far from usable (same as previous).
– H/W reset (by pressing and holding power button) not working. (Never work on my table)
I have to wait until it ran of the battery when the machine freeze and it freeze often.
- Boot in recovery mode (pressing and holding both power and ESC buttons) not working (Never work on my table).
Cheers,

Did you try to switch governor from interactive to ondemand ?
It's seem better to improve lag
For GPS: same bps as previous version. normal, it's a hardware pb.
Few workaround:
-don't try to fix when the tablet is charging
-put the tablet vertical, with connectors to the right
and then … not so bad, you can use it in a car
To reset: there's a hole near the rear camera. very efficient
No freeze for me but a big pb with deep sleep for 3G owners :
The ril29_dataonly process prevents the tablet from going to deep sleep.
So the battery decreases 3%/h , 25% during a night
You have to eject the SIM card and reboot
(you can't start with modem off … strange …always on. and if you switch it off, no deep sleep)
and Still no SMS function (as previous kasty version)
I'll try recovery mode later

To boot in recovery mode, you should use first use arc tools to install CWM and then
you can boot in recovery mode using arc tools (reboot in recovery mode) or using esc+power buttons
(it works, i've tried it just now)

Dear Sapomme,
Thank for the info. I did over look the reset hole due to it is covered up by the protective case.
I haven't try switching governor from interactive to ondemand. I will search the instructions how to.
I would love PIPO to better tune so that the out-of-the-box experience is greater.
[Regarding GPS]
I suspected that it is the internal GPS attenna that giving poor signal reception.
Today, I compared with three other tables.
[In shades]
PIPO could NOT pick up anything while others could (10, 6, 3 sattelites) and got fixed.
[Under direct sky]
PIPO could pick up 3 while others could (12, 10, 6 sattelites) and got fixed.
One thing I did success often is to reset the GPS H/W and forced reload the A-GPS data by using this S/W https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2
[In portrait mode - Menu ==> Tools ==> Manage A-GPS Status ==> (Reset or Download)]
It seems to reset the GPS H/W inside PIPO make it works again.
Once I finished deliver the Android project to my customer, I may write a small piece of S/W that periodically check (and reset) the GPS upon necessity.
Best Regards,

to switch the CPU governor: simply use "No-frill CPU", very very easy ...
for GPS, with mine, I've got 8 to 10 sats under direct sky (vertical position)
and 5 or 6 on my table, in my office, 1 m from the window (vertical position)
(Using GPS test)
