I mistakenly installed a Pipo M1 Max Pro (Ryley's 1.2) firmware into my brand new Pipo M1 max.

Now it's a complete brick. It does not turn on, reset switch does nothing, vol+/reset or Vol-/reset also does nothing, and PC does not recognize it. Also tried esc+reset+vol+, but nothing happened, and PC still does not recognize it.

I'm desperated!!!

Any help will be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!.

Thanks.

You need to start the tab in mask-rom modus.

In principle like this:

Hi again. I managed to open the tablet, and the took off the soldered tin Rf shield over the CPU, memory banks and NAND. My Nand is a 64G08c. I tried shorting pins 7 & 8, 8 & 9, some Russian guy suggested 29&30 so I've also tried it. I did it both before connecting USB and after doing so, with or without power supply connected, but no "gong" sound from the PC, nor the flashing tool recognizing anything. Any suggestion?

Thanks.

Hi again. I managed to put it in MaskRom Mode, and the RK Android Tool recognizes it as a MaskRom Rock USB. I can then erase the IDB.

However, when trying to flash the ROM, it goes a few steps and fails as follows:

"Start to run
Download USBData OK
Download USBBoot OK
Download boot OK
Start to test device
Test device OK
Start to download IDB
Error:Download IDB failed"

If I go to the Error Log, I get:

"INFO:Start to download boot
18:47:34 970 INFO:Start to run
18:47:35 392 INFO:Download USBData OK

Any Hint?

Thanks again.
