AndrewDB from armtvtech.com & slatedroid.com has managed to get Ubuntu running on RK3066: currently tested on UG802 & MK808 Mini PCs.
The installation procedure is described on slatedroid here:

We have built an update.img firmware image based on AndrewDB recovery, which makes the flash process a little easier.
Firmware image download: [[** please register to see this link **]] (tested on MK808)
AndrewDB Ubuntu image mirror (version pre-alpha 0.2): [[** please register to see this link **]]

As for OpenFrameworks, it will probably require some work, but there has been some work to get it to run on an Raspberry Pi.

Accelerated OpenGL on RK3066 based devices is probably another story due to the missing source code for the Mali400 GPU.

You need to burn the image to your sdcard with [[** please register to see this link **]], download the firmware update and install it to your MiniPC. I am planning to prepare an updated package with latest Picuntu modules and Mali 400 support together with more detailed instructions.
I'll post more information in a couple of days.
