Android 4.1 JB rooted firmware for the Ployer MOMO7 RK3066 (901 16G) tablet, based on official firmware (MOMO7-4.1.1-RK901-20121225.zip)

Kernel: Linux version 3.0.8+ (tangyi@tangyi-MS-7680) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC) ) #988 SMP PREEMPT Sat Dec 22 19:19:19 CST 2012

Android 4.1 JB: rk30sdk/rk30sdk/rk30sdk:4.1.1/JRO03H/20121222.112038:eng/release-keys

Custom firmware features:

- root with latest SuperSU version 0.99 (free version)

- writable /system partition

- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications

- increased space for application (/data partition) to 2 GB

Download: kasty-ployer-momo7-rk3066_901_16g-121225_rooted.zip

Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Ployer MOMO7 tablet to test the custom firmware.

The best thing is probably to try and see by yourself, the WIFI problem you are having may be specific to your equipment.

You can always flash back an ealier firmware with you are not satisfied with this one.

1. Start upgrade tool “RKBatchTool.exe”
2. Open image file
3. Shut down device
4. Connect USB cable to device
5. Press and hold “The key nearest the“Power” key”
6. Connect USB cable to PC
7. If asked for drivers, browse to “RockusbDriver”
8. Once drivers are installed first box will turn to “Green”
9. Click “Upgrade”
10. Wait till you see “Upgrade OK”
11. Device will reboot, you can unplug the cable

Here is the link to rockchip, as if you download it off a different site, it doesn't have all the os drivers and it will drive you insane for a wee while :)

Does this firmware still have the charging & the double tap issues? Is the CPU speed back to 1.4Ghz? Also should one press the "upgrade" or the "restore" button to flash from original firmware to this rooted firmware version?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to find my way around as I see conflicting information in between forums...

Also last but not least thanks to admin/kasty for this :) We need more gurus like you ;)

I can't say what's fixed in this firmware as I don't own a MOMO7.

Always use Restore button in Rockchip Batch tool to make sure a quick erase is done on the tablet prior to flashing.

Cheers.

I used upgrade and it worked fine.  Keyboard definitely more responsive, but recharging definitely NOT fixed :S  Not sure about the CPU speed.

I'm using unlockroot.com * Click on Image, than UnlockRoot Pro, than Free Download. Turn USB-Debbuging in your device on (Settings, Developer options). Connect your device. Start Unlockroot and click on the green button Root. That's all and works on ALL Android 4.0 and 4.1 devices!
