ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !

2014/03/01

Greetings, I have a Double Power (DOPO) model TD-1010 tablet that is rooted and has CWM 6.0.3.1 installed via the ArcTools app. It is RK3066 and is at Android 4.1.1(stock ROM), Kernel is 3.0.8+. I have flashed the current ROM from OEM image with RKtools, tablet originally had 4.0 when I got it.
Specs from mfg. website are:
- 10.1" Diagonal 1024X600 full color multi-touch screen
- Enjoy 1080p movie on big size panel slim pad
- Cortex A9 1.6GHZ Dual Core CPU
- Android 4.0 Operation System
- 1G DDR3 Memory
- 8G included storage, up to 32G via Micro SD card
- Dual Cameras front 0.3MP/ rear 2MP for Clear picture snap and DV function
- Built-in Bluetooth feature
- 5000mAH rechargeable lithium-polymer battery
I want to get at least to 4.2 for multi-user and other enhancements. Could someone recommend a compatible existing ROM I can flash now or one that could be ported relatively easily as I'm new to this. I'm willing to put some work into this if I can get some help and any working ROM I end up with will gladly be uploaded. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, the ROM it is on now is stock from OEM, it also would include the stock recovery. I flashed it with RKtools, so I do have a copy. As I wrote above it is now rooted and on CWM 6.0.3.1, which I flashed using the ARCtool app downloaded from Arctablet News via the hotlink.

Fine. Where can I find it?
Or can you at least upload kernel.img, boot.img and recovery.img?

Sure, here is the link to where I got the files from:

Or open the ROM.rar file I uploaded.
Thanks

OK, thanks a ton Oma. Just a few more quick questions:
Will I need the nand format or other fixes available and how do I know which ones, or should I just start with basic and go from there? Should I follow instructions located on ROM page or instructions within ROM package? They are a bit different. Thanks

Well, starting flash-modes could be slightly different. Just start with the format_NAND only.
We will see what is needed to correct other tab specifica.

I have been, but tried again to be sure and same result.
Never mind did it 5th time and now completed. Went thru CWM and loaded zip for nand format and got thru that. Rebooted and now have Android 4.2.2!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are awsome!!!!!!
Thanks for all the help. I'll be trying things out for a bit and let you know how things are (good or bad).
Would you care to let me know what magic you worked to get this done so fast?

I have been using the tablet with the new 4.2.2 ROM and the only problems I have had so far were:
1. The camera rotation was off 180 degrees, which was fixed with the camera fix zip file.
2. The battery needed to be re-calibrated and is fine now, battery life is a bit less than with the stock ROM but is not unacceptable. Still get over 5 hours of higher than average use before getting below 10 percent. I've had it in sleep mode for over 8 hours and it has used less than 12 percent of battery.
The ROM is smooth and very fast. No laggy performance at any time so far. I am much more than pleased.
IMHO, you can add this tablet to the confirmed working list.

Be aware: THIS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
1) Download the following to a new folder (I did mine on the desktop)
Odys Genio cRom v1.3.5
Dopo TD1010
format_NAND_fix (saved to tablet external SD card)
cam rotation fix (saved to tablet external SD card)
2) Decompress with 7zip the Odys Genio cRom v1.3.5 file to the new folder you created.
3) Remove kernel.img file in folder rockdev/Image and replace with the new kernal.img from the 7zip.
4) Boot the tablet into flash mode (with tablet turned off press volume + and plug usb into furthest left usb
port, I don't know why it will not work with the one to the right).
5) Must run RKAndroidTool as administrator. Choose:
a) EraseIDB
b) Then choose Run
6) After RKAndroidTool is done the tablet should reboot into CWM where you then flash the
format NAND fix.zip and then the cam rotation fix.zip.
7) From CWM choose restart and let reboot.
8) Wait at least 4 minutes before doing anything else.
I had a few problems trying to get this done 100%, but after 4 or 5 tries everything went as it should and I
will add that I had to recalibrate the battery too afterwards.
