Question

I downloaded files zilla android

connected to my computer via filezilla

and it seems i have access to following

system/lib

and

system/app

aint that where i should put the superuser apk and lib file?
Just thought that it might be the fastest way ever to unlock if it could work? :)

And again thank you so much!!!
Im thinking of trying the update from denver first by pushing the restore button

and if that works, trying to restore from this version and let you know.

su binary goes to /system/xbin/su

you need to chmod it with 6755 access rights.

Superuser.apk goes to /system/app

LOL I just stopped when u wrote chmod ;)
Thought it was just to copy paste it there ;) so im gonna try with your version instead since it seems you know a bit more about rooting than i do :)
However im good at testing and crashing hehe

edit: Mail from denver

he didnt know why they were told update and not restore on their firmware versions...

do you still think i should use the restore button and not update on your version?

This is because of the resizing of the system and data partitions, it's totally normal.

If you don't feel comfortable with flashing, please don't do it.

Cheers.

I do feel comfortable with the flashing and in your ability

I just dont want to miss anything in advance since i wasnt even able to flash original firmware the first time.

I can however inform you that its booting the newly flash originalfirmware as im writing. this.

I'll. restart it and then try with yours using the restore button.

and let you know :)

Yes I did, the custom firmware features are the following:

- root with latest SuperSU version 0.99 (free version)

- writable /system partition

- increased space for application (/data partition) to 2 Gb.

Cheers.

Feedback.

Loving the 2gig partition for applications!!!! It could work with move to SD in the original firmware but this is so much better.

SuperSU works like a charm.

Which means that now Titanium Backup works also so i spend most of the evening copying my games and settings and progress from the childpad to the denver.

And as far as I can tell everything works just smooth.

I am truly amazed by the wizardry you can pull of in such a short amount of time and how great it works.

If you feel like it I could ask my contact at denver if they would like a firmware version with the 2gig partition for apps but not featuring the unlock (SuperSU) and how much they would pay for it?
Cause everything works perfectly and I did push the restore button.

For me the problem with the 8gig space was, who cares when 1 game takes up 215 mb of 512 total. thats 2 angry birds, youtube and race of champions and then thats it.... so this is just.. Cool

I'll let the kids test it over the weekend and see if anything pops into mind.

But great great JOB!
