ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !
Rooted firmware for the DENVER TAC-7018, special request by b.breum
Here is the rooted firmware file:Â DEM752HCF_20120427_V1.0.10_6.28_rooted.zip
It's untested as I don't have this tablet to try the firmware on.

I have a question about the rockchip flash tool.
in the pdf file with the "org" firmware the numbers in the green field in left part of screen is different than the numbers in mine.
ie in the pdf it says 5-1
mine is green and says 1-1-1
should it matter?
Â
edit: Org firmware on tablet is now 4.0.3
your topic says 4.0.4
is the new firmware from google docs 4.0.4?
I don't think so, all you need is the green square.

Hmmm my mistake, firmware is ICS 4.0.3:

after more testing with different usb cables i am now the proud owner of a tablet that cant boot
In rkbatch tool it goes to a blue square and not a green one after the first attemt, and no further attemt with the original firmware on any computer in any usb port with any cable have succeded.... hmm...

I should still follow the same upgrade procedure with your img. as i should with denvers org firmware right?
So use rkbatch tool and select image and then press upgrade?
Its cause im going to hopefully exchange this model today so i'll try and upgrade their own firmware first and then try with yours..
But just wanted to make sure that yours follow the same procedure
The firmware flashing procedure is the same for all Rockchip RK29xx / RK30xx based tablets with Rockchip Batch tool, you should make sure that you are using Restore rather than Upgrade button when flashing.
I carefully prepared the custom firmware I published here, but it could be I missed something when building the firmware. You can always flash back the stock firmware to restore your tablet.

I have no doubt that you carefully prepared this special just for me!! And its gratefully appreciated if in fact it works Nah its appreciated no matter what.
Hmmm you are saying restore rather than upgrade.
On the official denver how to I am told to use the Upgrade button....
On the first model (traded back to store so now im on model nr. 2 )
so on the first model i used the upgrade button... could that be the cause of the malfunctioning tablet?
It could be. Restore is similar to Upgrade button as it sends the update.img firmware to the tablet, but it also erase part of the flash memory, so it's better in the sense it does a flash on a "cleaner" system. I don't see any risks of using Restore vs Upgrade.
Cheers.

I will try to flash it via the restore button this evening
since the wireless seems to turn on and off. So its not working as it should either way
Just had a thought that i remember something about putting the image file on SD card renaming it to update.img.
Would that be an idea or bad idea instead? Just thought that then the usb cable could be taken out of the equation
Copying the update.img to internal storage or sdcard does the job with manufacturer's updates, but it doesn't work well (or at all) on a custom firmware. This is caused by the partitionning of the different images (system, data, kernel...) which is different between stock and custom firmwares.
