ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !

The tab above the forum does have instructions about how to install the clockwork...
note: the kitkat rom is very buggy and it needs so many extra things to work, not to mention that some things are not going to work at all, like screenshots.
If you feel like tinkering with your tablet, just look at the instructions

Sorry but I don't understand where are instructions and wich rom I have to download.
EDIT: I've installed CWM and downloaded rom and kernel, how can I intall them?
EDIT 2: I followed the instructions in rom's folder but when the tablet should reboot in recovery, after rom installation, it doesn't boot. And I don't know how to install the kernel. Someone can help me please?

Hey, if you break something apart, here is the original firmware...
http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot.com/2014/05/download-stock-firmware-for-e-ceros.html
The thing is taht you need to be rooted to do the above procedure i believe, so... That is another layer of stuff to do. Keep in mind that the Clockwork recovery is good for backing up your tablet and restoring that backup but the images around the place need a computer and a bunch of stuff like some drivers for the computer plus a special tool and a very finicky procedure to get the tablet to install the rom. its not exactly a straight forward thing to do like installing Cyanogenmod

I already have reinstalled the original firmware. I already had root permissions. At this point the tablet didn't boot. What's wrong?
A failed upgrade? Unless we know exactly what you did, and exactly how you did it, all anyone can do is blind guesswork.

Run RKAndroidTool, untick everything except "kernel", select the correct kernel image, and flash.Oh, thanks! Now I understand! And what have I to select when I flash the rom?
How long is a piece of string? Everything that you want to flash?
I think you should read the instructions for flashing ROMs very carefully, or you could do some serious damage (including bricking the tablet permanently).

A very nice guy on Freaktab (rrileypm) has produced a custom (and rooted) ROM based on the original stock JellyBean ROM from August 2013, here:
http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?9842-Would-Like-help-to-ROOT-my-Tablet#15
I have found it perfectly stable, and fast (no lags, etc). I have been working on overclocking the kernel, as you have read elsewhere ...

I made a CWM mod of the Oma KitKat ROM, and installed it via TWRP Recovery.I already had a 4GB data partition for my JellyBean ROM, so I felt I could take the risk of going via the CWM install route.
So far so good (Antutu=18,200).
Initial reports:
1. Screenshots work okay
2. The camera app is wonky; no matter which direction the tablet is facing, the picture always appears sideways (i.e., nothing is ever upright - even an upright door appears sideways).
3. I haven't applied the format NAND fix (my install script deletes /data and /cache before installing the ROM). Everything on my internal and external SD is preserved (it takes a while to find them, but they are there). The system default is /storage/emulated/0 (resolves to the same location as /mnt/sdcard) instead of /sdcard etc. There's also /mnt/external_sd and /mnt/internal_sd, which contain all my old stuff.
@Oma: apart from deleting /data and /cache and formatting the internal SD card, what else does your format NAND fix do, that can be done in the CWM install script for a ROM that is being installed via CWM/TWRP?

I've discovered that the "/storage/emulated/" issue is due to ro.factory.hasUMS being set to false in build.prop. If it is set to true, then the internal and external SD cards are exactly where you expect to find them.
I'm not quite sure why they did it like this - but it's all in init.rk30board.rc (in boot.img).
So far, most things are working fine (except the camera's screen orientation). I'm even running an overclocked kernel on it ...
