Here is latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Onda V975 tablet (hardware V1) based on newest Onda firmware release version 3.3.1 published 2013/11/20.

(V975Core4_v3.3.1_v1.rar / V975Core4_v3.3.1_v1.img)

Firmware build information:

Linux Kernel:  Linux version 3.3.0 (onda@SRV2013) (gcc version 4.6.3 20120201 (prerelease) (crosstool-NG linaro-1.13.1-2012.02-20120222 - Linaro GCC 2012.02) ) #3 SMP PREEMPT Sat Nov 16 09:48:01 UTC 2013

Android system: onda/fiber_ondama975q9/fiber-ondama975q9:4.2.2/JDQ39/20131116:eng/opinions-on-teclast-p90hdst-keys

ro.reversion.aw_sdk_tag=exdroid4.2.2_r1-a31-v3.3

Our rooted custom firmware features:

  • root with latest SuperSU 1.69 (free version)
  • system default setup English
  • removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
  • Google Play Store fixes so more application are visible/compatible
  • updated busybox¬†v1.21.0.git (2012-11-29)
  • Unix like¬†init.d boot scripts support, more details on init.d scripts¬†here
  • changed permissions on external sdcard to allow write access
  • removed Chinese girl boot logos
  • New! kernel modules (USB GPS, Xbox/PS3 gamepads, OpenVPN,‚Ķ) compiled¬†by Christian Troy, thank you. See¬†our guide for XBOX 360 gamepad¬†support.

Flash with PhoenixSuite (tutorial)

After flashing the tablet, a Setup Wizard may appear on first boot to configure your network, regional settings, etc… If the wizard does not appear, just disconnect your USB cable from the tablet, make a short press on the power button to turn off the screen. After the screen is turned of, press the power button for a short time again to power the tablet, the Setup wizard should now be displayed.

Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have an Onda V975 tablet to test the custom firmware.

I should soon have a Onda V975 tablet for a few days, hopefully, I will be able to have a look and fix the problem.

I am curious if the sensor problem also exists with the stock firmware from Onda V975 V1 ?

Cheers.

Hi Admin,

Love your work, I've got one of your ROMs for my 972 and it runs like a dream. My brother has picked up a 975 and I was wondering if there was anything on the horizon for an update for this that keeps the g-sensor running, now that you've gotten your hands on a 975 yourself?

Cheers for the great stuff you've made already.

Hello,

I received an Onda V975, I will have this test tablet for a few days. I'm currently working on both fixing the accelerometer and building a custom Android 4.4 KitKat firmware, will post when something is ready.

Cheers.
