What can I say. Rom works pretty well, right after install, everything runs smoothly and you are glad to have 4.4. But, If you start to install apps, there are some problems. Some launchers do not work properly or crashes. Battery life is worse than the 4.2. Compatibility of some applications also leaves much to be desired, eg google+/google pictures are not available. It seems that this is still a beta version of ROM, so after 3 days of usage I went back to 4.2 and wait for the final version

I am still on this 4.4. Been there since Dec 30th
It has worked pretty well. I have installed about 30 apps and games and everything still is working well. using stock launcher (not onda launcher). battery life is about the same as 4.2.2 for immediate use. however the when in the quick boot power off state, it uses more. about 10% over night. overall speed of the rom is the same as 4.2.2 It is a bit snappier responding to touchscreen inputs. Â I have not has any FC or app hangs in this version like i did with the demo.Â
Compatibility with apps is not that good. No financial apps will install and like stated above google+ will not install. This was also the case with early 4.2 onda roms until some creative build.prop hacks and others. I believe it is because these apps require location info from a gps and there is no gps in our tablets. a hack should be able to allow these apps to be installed. Â The Kasty roms had this hack preloaded. perhaps when onda releases the full version Admin will create a Kasty version.
It seems to work well for me, and the apps that won't install are not important enough for me to go back to 4.2.2 Â If it starts acting up I will not hesitate to go back though. Â
except for integrated printing and a few ui changes there is not much to gain with this version of kitkat. looks like Onda removed the option for ART between demo and beta releases. Mainly because it does not work. There still seems to be issues with ART with devices that support it so It can sit this one out as far a I am concerned. Â Â

Looking what Onda rep answers on users inquiries (below) it seems this rom is still beta. Hope next will be better and more compatible with some apps.

Seems, that I found a solution for (some?) app incompatibility..
I am able to install google+ from the store and it works.
Which other apps are affected?

Could you please write how to overcome that?
I couldn't install some banking apps used in Poland:

However, it seems that your mentioned apps need to be updated for Kitkat.
They installing fine, but crash on start.

Any idea when kitkat will be available for V972_V2?

Somehow PhoenixSuite does not update anymore.. Flashing the previous rom (4.2.2.) PhoenixSuite kept asking me for updating but somehowe that does not occur anymore. Clicking in the update button does not help.
I found a V1.0.7 russian version, can I use this version as well for flashing KitKat Rom?
Thanx

For the first time since the developing scene of our v972, I'm not satisfied with this ROM and I feel like it's a step behind compared to the 4.2.2.
First of all, the responsiveness is laggy and not as smooth as the 4.2.2. Nova launcher is painfully slow. I haven't tried any other launcher as I'm too well used with nova, so I was kind of forced to stick with the default launcher, which seems to be incomplete.
Performance-wise, Antutu benchmark shows a score of 12800 against the 18600 of the previous release.
There's still no otg-bluetooth and generic usb gamepad support.
Battery consumption is definitely increased, lowering the overall autonomy from the originary 4 hours and a half to barely 3 hours without wifi and low screen brightness.
I'm rolling back to the 4.2.2
