!! UPDATE 20.01.2014 !!
New (updated) Firmware release
- Google Nexus5 Kitkat Launcher integrated (including necessary libs and apps)
- all former patches included (Playstore, etc)
- Integrated new Google Camera (optional) and Google Gallery
- replaced outdated apps
- some minor improvements
ONLY for ONDA V972_V1
***********************************************************************************
***********************************************************************************
!! UPDATE 11.01.2014 !!
Try this patch, if you miss some apps on Google Play
Read the included pdf-manual, before you apply the patch!
The patch probably won't work with geo-restricted apps!
*************************************************************************************
Please note, that this is my last patch for this firmware!
My tablet is running without any problems, fc's, etc. since flashing this ROM (although this device is, more or less, utter junk ).
And since we all *should* have identical hardware, I can't trace most of the "issues"!
Most problems are caused by a "wrong version" of PhoenixSuite <1.08, flashing without formatting, PC-driver issues, geo-restricted or old "Kitkat-incompatible" apps or faulty hardware!
*************************************************************************************
!! UPDATE 02.01.2014 !!
- the problem, that /system couldn't be mounted as read/write, is solved!

I am going to flash this now. and give it a try. Â I guess next we will need twrp or cwm.Â
I haven't tested the latest TWRP 2.6.0 with the 4.4.2, because I don't need it.
IF, and only if TWRP 2.6.0 works, it's easy to integrate it into the ROM. (But I doubt it)
Maybe, I will try it tomorrow if it's not too time consuming. (I don't want to build TWRP from scratch)

is it just me or is anyone else having lockups in the play store when installing apps.Â
tablet does not respond and i have to hold power to reboot. when it comes back up it does it again in the same spotÂ
edit: Â I cleared data on the google play store app and it seems to be behaving itself now.Â

I tried the twrp 2.6.0 zip file using the update app on the tablet. It seemed to install the recovery partition with twrp, however when i boot into twrp it said no os is installed. At this point exiting out of twrp seems to put the tablet into black screen death, only a reformat flash with phoenix suite fixes it.Â

If yes, no good idea....definitely
it is strange. but I always do a format install. Â I actually format flashed 3 times and still had the same issue. only then did I clear data on the google play app.Â
It does not make sense I know. But it is currently working
