Thank you for your answers. This maybe an early demonstration hardware version, without any labels. I tried the v2 and v3 roms, but camera did not work with the v2, and with v3 not even started. Camera worked only with 4.4.2_v1_kitkat version, but I think this is to slow. Other functions work properly. I'll try other rom versions too.

seems that power consumption is very high when the unit is plugged in... could be that my power supply unit is dying a slow death. indicates the tablet is charging but the battery is draining.

I find that power drain is not that much different to previous releases, maybe your battery is getting on a bit. I find charging with a 1000ma charger only takes a few hours from 15% to over 95%. I have been using JuceDefender recently and it regularly says my battery is lasting x2 as long and sometimes even x3 or more. Hope this helps.

that is, power consumption is fine when the tablet is not plugged in.

hello everyone,

need your valuable help. By mistake I installed the onda v812 firmware on my soons onda v972.  I tryed to install the 972 firmware but when I connect the usb cable (while holding the go to home button) the screen turns on, and the computer shows two new drives, then I push the power on button several times and the tablet is not recogniced by the phoenix program.

Any ideas on how to solve this?? Thank you very much.

when tablet turns on it means its not completely switched off

hold power button for 5 sec or more u will hear a some sound and the screen flickers short.

then try again to flash

good luck

Hello wooley,

Thanks for the advice, one question, does the tablet turns off when the battery charge ends??

I left the tablet with the screen on untill the battery ended. I assume the tablet is now off, correct?

I´ll try to flash it again when _I get home later.

Thanks again.

No tablet needs to be switched off by holding power button.

Make sure its fully charged before flashing.:-)

Fine Rom but I've noticed that the screen slider for screenbrightness can't be slide completly to the left.

The minimum is almost 1/3. But in a room, not directly in sunlight,  this is even to much.

So it would be better if screenbrightness can be set lower than the lowest position now ...

Batteryduration is already so a pain with this tablet.

My Onda v972 v1 16gb was slow on CM11. Also watching flash video was crap. I installed it 2 times, the same problems.
Even Vel2000's KK rom is better than CM11, though bugy.

But nothing beats Kasty's: kasty-onda_v972_v1-422-v331_20131122 ROM.

I like stable roms and hate fancy unstable ones.

only thing is my antutu is now a more realistic 12000

in kasty 19000

full hd and flash plays well

will test more to see how it works

now running 3dmark extreme 2553 score = higher than s3
