Cheers Admin :)

Well, battery lasts 2 hours (not 2 and half) when flashed, and no extra apps installed yet. Just reading PDF on low brightnes and wifi turned on.
That is almost the same as before flashing with 30 apps installed on.

I was charging tablet when was new once on two days. Then once a day. Now sometimes twice a day. Well no need to argue.

Bright side is, that my tablet never crushes, resets, WiFi though has lame signal and speed, never turns off or looses connection. (cant watch blue ray movies over shared folder, because of low speed).

Does anyone know for "*.mkv" player, where you can resume watching or go backward or forward?
MX player and 4K can only play, HW and HW+ doesn't support that.

Does it matter which USB GPS receiver I buy to work well with v972 v1 tablet?

Thanx again Laugh

Greg22,

The stock battery in the onda is not great quality. you could upgrade to the LG battery Much better quality and if you got 6 hours on the stock. you will get longer on the LG as it is 12000 mah.

I am getting 5.5 hours with screen full brightness streaming 1080p MKV with the new battery.

also try the archos video player in the playstore. I really like it, and if you have multiple tablets it will even resume from one tablet to the other, pulls movie info/thubmnails/covers off the web, plays all my mkv files, supports hardware decoding,  supports upnp/smb streaming.  well worth the 4.99 price

For mkv you will also have to install Archos Video All Codecs Plugin from the playstore. this is free

there is also a free version with ads. so give it a try first.

Google Translate :

Hello, I have a 32GB Onda V972 V1. I'd installed the Custom ROM on the page 1. How should I proceed with the installation? What is the prerequisite firmware level on the shelf? FYI, my tablet is Android 4.2.2 and firmware version is v3.0_v1.
Thank you for your help!

As to the battery thing I have used 'Juce Defender' from the play store, mine says it has extended battery life by x1.5 to x2, it only gives the value after about 24 hours use. Dont know if this is accurate but deems longer after I installed it to me.

vade,

the stock launcher on mine was not uninstalled.  I used titanium backup and removed the other launcher (nova) then I was asked what launcher to use and selected the Onda launcher. I think I had to reboot after removing the nova launcher.  I did not like the stock launcher and went back to nova by restoring nova and uninstalling the Onda launcher using titanium backup. I again was asked which launcher to use and selected Nova. Hope this helps.

If you are still having issues let me know and I will send you the titanium backup file of the onda launcher and you can use titanium backup to restore it to your tablet.

Is anyone having problems with the clock in the notification bar and digital clock widget> Mine doesn't change until I lock and unlock the tablet. Also think the battery indicator is way off too. I streamed a hockey game last night and it only dropped about 15% in 2.5 hours but some light browsing this morning and was dropping at the normal rate.

Since upgrade I have noticed the clock in the top left is sometimes hours behind usually when the tablet wakes up from a charge. To get it to correct its self I need to go to Settings -> Date&Time then open the set time window where the time is correct and then tap on done. If I dont open the window and re-save the time the clock is still displayed wrong. The funny thing is the 1Weather widget displays the correct time. I hope this helps locate the issue.

I also had to fix  clock, time today.

I also have to make update about the battery life. With battery monitor pro I measured that battery lasts from 55min to 1h 50min. If I watch online TV it lasts 55min and If I read PDF it lasts less than 2 hours. From 100% till tablet turns off.

Archos video player + codecs plays MKV files with no troubles. But if file on shared disc is larger than 5 GB, then WiFi is so lame, that interruptions occur.  Even if the signal is strong, full...

Where can I order/buy the best, but not too expensive LG battery?
I live in Slovenia, EU. I can pay through PayPal only.

Tahnx :)

Vade,

here is the link to the onda desktop (onda launcher) titanium backup file.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jc2pneqktue0bzf/com.android.launcher-20131122-221454.TiBkp

install titanium backup. copy the above file to your tablet. open titanuim backup, click menu, then select import backup, point to the file. then restore onda desktop.

you may want to freeze nova launcher after this so the onda launcher is the only one running.  I reboot after may be required.

Good luck

BTW I have not noticed the clock problem on mine. I also have streamed mkv files 13gb with archos video player without any issues.

Hi all ! From France... Laugh

I don't think it is a V972 problem, you'll tell me, but before installing this last version, I want to know one thing, about Adobe Flash...

It seems that Adobe don't support Flash for Android,

I found last version to be 11.1.115.81, here : http://gapcode.com/latest/

Is it right ?

Because on some video stream with web explorers, it doesn't always work,

but it can be normal, because computers have newer Flash version,

but many french web TV apk are asking for a newer Flash version... But they are Android APK, so how can they ask for a newer version ?

Can you solve my problem ? Smile

Is there a newer version I've not met ?!?

Where are you downloading your Flash ???

Hey guys on the "How to increase your battery life section" i have a small tip that i have found and worked for me.

 Go to Settings

1. Enable airplane mode (it will automatically also close your Wi-Fi)

2. Go to Wi-Fi and enable it

3. I have read that i also needed to disable mobile data (even if it does not support GSM). I could not find how to do it from default menu.

4. Download "Smart Quick Settings" app it is free and turn off the Mobile Data .

The outcome will be Airplane mode with Wi-Fi open and no mobile data search provider = Some hours of battery life.

Of course it also does matter the display settings, brightness, smart color etc. but that depends on how everyone uses their tablet.

Hope it helps

Osi

Thanks Osi, to date over the last day and a half the above tip seems to really work well. I still use JuceDefender from the Market too to help manage power usage.
