Couldn't wait had to try it tonight .. lol.. OK serious tried to load it the usually way, but couldn't, finally got it to recognise the USB attached to the Onda v972, but when PhoenixSuit ran to 3%, hoovered there for around 1 minute, then started to move to 8% then error, which made the v972 not to boot, finally put back the original 3.2v & no problems loading, so I think it is this new v3.2 which as a problem, what do you think ! I have another question that may get answered and then again it may not.

Why when I use Google Currents app, it always crashes?

Today I tried to open Foxnews, it opened then immediately crashed, I tried another 6 - 7 times and every time it crashes. BBC stays open as does Skynews etc but Fox crashes.

I have not had an app from Google play crash on me yet. I have used BBC iPlayer and many others with no issue. I am using firmware v3.2 with android 4.2.2.What apps work and which crash, maybe someone can help more? You are using V3.2 arn't you, there is increased google app store computability from v3.0 to v3.2.

Yes Google Currents is an app that never works on the Onda V972 but I opened Fox News using the Firefox browser, Fox News is not an app, and its crashes within 15 seconds of opening it.

I know Onda doesn't like some apps but I was on the web and it crashed and I cannot understand why Onda doesn't like Fox News, as so far its the only web site that crashes on the Onda, well, that I have found anyway.

I was looking at the "Update" and pressed the online tab, and received this message, "Undiscover new version".

I cannot ask Onda China as they never answer with an answer.

And just to remind you all that I am still mystified by the battery app always stating that the battery is only 30C.

***I tried this, I got the package to open by using a zip file opener, into 3 smaller packages; Phoenix suite, Img, and some Chinese instructions but the Phoenix suite installer refused to open, but on a PC its easy to open. I think you need a PC to install from.

Well, after very carefully testing the Onda V972 is basically a "toy", good enough for surfing the web, watching youtube, or listening to music. It cannot be considered even close to the likes of Samsung, Acer etc in performance, the V972 is unpredictable, irritatingly sensitive, and I can't even scroll on some pages without everything opening and the zoom function having a life of its own and getting out of control, all by itself.

One could never use this tablet for any type of productivity, or other serious endeavour, the tablet is not any good, even trying to get it to open tabs within pages is a major problem, everything just goes out of control. I open my email page, then try and open an email, but it won't open as the command system is all wrong, then after a while it may decide to open, and this applies to all pages that are opened. Nothing works properly and never will as the Chinese like gimmicks and toys and this is exactly what the Onda tablets are, all of them, just toys.

The next tablet I buy will most certainly be from a leading brand, as these mainland Chinese tablets are basically "toys" for the children to play with and then simply discarded.

Was it really necessary to put your whole post in bold?

***Yes it was, as I am trying to warn others not to buy these tablets, as they are not worth the money that one pays for them. If the Onda V972 was only U$25 I wouldn't care but when the rubbish costs approximately U$250 then I am annoyed and have every right to be.

Today I played around with a Samsung 10 inch tablet and the difference  between an Onda and Samsung is like the difference between an old Ford T and a Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe, the Onda is basically rubbish. The Onda works but darn its difficult to control, just try a Samsung which is so smooth, it glides.

So, anyone want to buy a second hand Onda V972 completely updated?  Probably not!  Any offers?

I don't usually reply to these kinds of post but, the only problem I have with the Onda is the battery draining, thats it, no problems with software or games & I use it hard, my kids test it with there games & as far as i can see its fine.  So I don't know if your issue is with a damaged Onda or firmware, my firm is the new one from here Jelly bean 4.2.2 v3.2 :) but if you want to really sell your Onda I will give you $50 :)
