Can you please explain how v3.2 is faster, as at the moment I am on v3.0 and I find it okay. I am not that interested in the booting up speed or the closing down speed and I don't want to mess up by installing yet another rom that serves no real purpose. Installing v3.0 was a nightmare.Â
My internet connection shows all 4 bars and it can pick up on my neighbour who lives across the street about 40 yards away, only two bars but still it "sees" him. My internet download speed is the same as my big PC.
Â
As for battery, its like water on just battery, but as I keep it connected to the charger, its always 100%, and it is not getting as hot as it used to do.
Â
So what are the differences other than a bit of speed.
A word of advise, don't use it much with the charger connected as you will kill the battery

I know its only a stop gap measure but I am going to explore some power management apps like Juce Defender. As the power drain issue seems more prevalent on Android 4.2 than 4.1 or below. Many users are calling on Google to look at it in the next release and that's just the Nexus 7 forums. On another point from what I have seen keeping a Li-Ion battery at 100% all the time is not good for it as Bondo2 says. You should let it run down, the v972 will warn you at 15% to plug it in.

Wifi connection is better, apps response time is fast! fixed all my apps like youtube, google earth, news reader that didn't run well with 3.0. I don't mind the battery issue, my apps all up and running is crucial to me.Â

Wifi connection with both v2.3 and v3.0 has always been very good indeed, never had a problem to date. When I was on v2.3 the battery power was disappearing incredibly quick, so when I updated I keep charging while working only. Today I took Bondo2's advice and just left it on battery, no charger, so far its dropped to 73% in one hour and that's just browsing the internet.
Most apps work very well, but google currents breaks down continually so I had to uninstall, and one app actually interfered with the tablet's keyboard, so that app was removed and keyboard now works perfectly.
The weather app and the battery app are both slow to get going but all other apps are up and ready when the boot has finished.
Settings page in v3.0 tends to be rather too sensitive, touch anywhere and something will immediately spring open.

I've been wondering if this version corrects a problem with display brightness. My onda v972 is too bright, even on lower settings. This can impact on battery...
It's mentioned in the changelog of v3.2 that an more intelligent backlight / Lai color control system has been added .. so it's very possible that the brightness issue that you're experiencing might have been sorted out in this new firmware.
If you're interested.. The full changelog for v3.2 can be found here:Â http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42926628

and also very important is that the tablet is charging now whilst using, 3.0 ddidn'tÂ
Maybe. I have been using a 2 amp charger since shortly receiving my V972 and it charged just fine whether on or off. Now the original charger was only 1 amp and It did not charge while in use starting with the stock 2.35 ROM and that charger. It worked fine with the 2 amp charger however.
I have noticed a couple of odd things. Note: I am using Apex Launcher Pro.
1. Auto-rotate screen got shut off while sitting for two days plugged into the charger. It was on when I set it down and off until just a few minutes ago. I was the only person to touch it.Â
2. A couple of days ago the tablet would not boot in Quick Boot Mode after being shut down. After the ONDA Kasty screen it just sat there with a black screen. Had to force a shut down two times before it would fully nboot.
Battery. In the last ten minutes the battery has gone from 100 to 95%.
I am going to set up a time-lapse of the battery drain with a visible clock for reference and post it on YouTube. It will be a few days from now.
